WOOW NICE PLACE, finally i've found something looks better than russian cheerleaders, thank u very much
Nothing looks better than those Russian Cheerleaders. Seriously. They are finer than most American actresses.
Yao Ming told the press that he thought it's worth it that the Houston Rockets fined him US$ 27,500 just that he could serve the community better, and he enjoyed the time he spent with the intellectual disabled.
The biggest ever Special Olympics held for the first time in Asia. That's something that Yao Ming in his dual capacity of official image spokesperson of Shanghai municipality and Special Olympics just should not and could not miss.
So the 2 ambassadors of the Shanghai Municipality, Yao Ming and Liu Xiang each played their part in the climax of the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics: Yao Ming announcing the relay of the Olympic flame, and Liu Xiang started the relay together with an intellectual disabled athlete.
http://2008.sohu.com/20071003/n252470499.shtml This morning (October 3) during the Global Policy Summit for the Well-Being of Intellectual Disabilities held in the Shanghai International Convention Centre, Yao Ming was awarded with the Special Olympics Special Award from Timothy P. Shriver, the Chairman of Special Olympics as an acknowledgement and recognition for his 10 years' contribution to the work for the intellectual disabled. Timonthy Shriver said: "We have known and awarded Yao Ming about 10 years ago; and in the past 10 years, he had been unceasingly doing alot of charity work for the intellectual disabled, and we understand he has fully understood the meaning and significance of the Special Olympic, and therefore we wish to plague him with this top Sepcial Award." Yao Ming, only a few hours before he will depart for the airport for USA (to Houston via Los Angeles), in his thank-you speech said: "This is indeed a top honor and will last forever in my memory; I saw hope from the intellectual disabled athletes; and I saw from them a most important thing, i.e. courage, and will continue to motivate me in my professional career and life in the future."
Close look at the Special Award of Special Olympics that Yao Ming received.....The Spirit of Special Olympics and a photo of Yao Ming with Eunice Mary Kennedy Shriver, the founder and honorary chairperson of the Special Olympics, sister of the late US President, John F Kennedy, mother of Timothy Shriver, and mother-in-law of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
So after receiving his award of the Spirit of Special Olympics, Yao Ming went straight to Pudong International Airport to catch the flight MU583 at 14:55 pm to Houston transiting Los Angeles. And in the VIP lounge he bumped into Jackie Chan, and Jackie requested to have a photo of them together.
I saw an interview with Yao on Fox tonight...he's back in Houston. He's taking his physical tomorrow and will join the team later in the day Thursday. Welcome back Yao!!!
Wow, Yao seems to really care about the Special Olympics. In these pictures he's actually smiling, not just wearing his typical "Get me outta here!" photo expression. Dale Dynamo??
I think with Yao's official return to Houston, this thread needs to end. The Summer is over now. and the New season begins.
