lol, talk about All-Time Center. Why is he even doing that? He should just play for China the whole game.

Taiwan approves NBA star Yao Ming's visit

    Agence France-Presse
Last updated 10:59pm (Mla time) 08/30/2007

TAIPEI -- The Houston Rockets' basketball star Yao Ming was given the green light Thursday to visit Taiwan next month, an official said.

The Chinese-born NBA star is due to visit from September 7-10, reports said, after Chen Ming-tong, the chairman of Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council (MAC), said the trip had been authorized.

There had been speculation the visit would be barred, since Taiwan and China have testy relations. Beijing regards the island as part of its territory awaiting reunification, by force if necessary.

Yao Ming and his national team team mates left Beijing to arrive at Shenzhen this evening. They will play against the Australian Melbourne Tigers tomorrow night in Shenzhen.

This will be Yao Ming's first basketball game in this summer.

Yao Ming and his team mates on their way to the stadium this morning for a closed door team practice/scrimmage, before squaring off with the Melbourne Tigers tonight.

Big Yao seemed did not have a good night's sleep in Shenzhen, and was caught yawning on the coach to the stadium.
