I'm actually more disappointed with the 8 shots and the 2 free throws that he missed.
If he wants to be in contention for the title of best center in the league, he can't be missing 25% of his fg attempts.

The thing about his rebounds being so low for a guy his size, is his positioning.
Yao is always in the wrong place when the rebound is coming down. He needs a guy like Dennis Rodman to coach him where to stand or expect the ball to come down at.

rockets outrebound the Kings 42-32. He is saving his energy for offence, 10/13, 8/9, 4 assit....which is great.

Houston Rockets' rebounds the last two games: 38 and 42

    I see no problem here.

Dude, I rather watch Yao scores loads than rebound. Leave the rebounds to our Scolandry.

Exactly. Rebound stats are a little overrated and misleading. I only care about team rebounding. McGrady stepped it up on the boards the last game, and Scolandry stepped it up today. In a game where we outrebounded the other team 42-32, it's ridiculous that someone is whining about rebounding. Stop whining.

If Yao scores 27-30 points a night, he will contend for the scoring title and the mvp. Everything else is just gravy.

Can you please give me a break and stop posting nonsense repeatedly? I noticed that you had initiated 3 or 4 threads in this couple of days. Polling TMac vs. Ron, polling Clyde vs. Bull, now comparing Yao's points to rebounds and bashing after two spectacular games? These topics get old!
I would take his 30/6 day in and day out because his points are more relevant to the team and the win. His rebound ability is poor, which is of little value to debate. Instead of getting rebounds from teammates, I would rather he score which his teammates often struggle with. Plus despite the poor rebounding numbers, Yao was a huge presence in the back court which is a huge part of the success in team defense. And you are complaining.
    Can someone please lock this?

When a team runs PnR involves Yao effectively, it makes Yao's position difficult. But the teammates all are very active on the boards, so no harmd done.

listen, have u ever thought about this?

the top rebounders in this team are all in pretty medicore rebounding teams.

rockets is a top rebounding team in the league, that means EVERYONE is working hard to get the rebound. So a lot of times yao is boxing out for his teammates to grab the boards.

one night yao fought with his teammates to get rebounds, the hawk game, he got 19 boards!!!
