I'm quite confident it's himself posting for two reasons:

    1. that IS his official webpage. if someone can pretend he is Yao and posting garbages since september, he would have been caught by now.

    2. just look at all the crafty answers and thoughts, don't you feel they are the same kind of thoughts that would pop up from his head after we heard all his quotes last year? :)

hehe, danjojo is doing some private investigation again to prove the poster is not yao ming himself.

How long does it take to go back home from toyota cenre?
Is there any internet access in the locker room?
Any floor plan of the center?

YAO MING, send us the proof, otherwise u're busted.

I simply smiled reading your post...why would i investigate something like that...there's nothing to suggest anyone other then Yao posted this...there's nothing controversial in this post...it sounds like him...

i just asked a question...sorry for not being a gullible fool...

from what I know, the username he is using is reserved for him since it is his official site. Im quite sure the admins would have ways of confirming that it is really him.

it isnt unheard of to be able to make it from the Showroom to the area of town he lives in...I could get from there to my home in less time than 2 hours, even allowing for showering and whatnot, and I live further from TC than he does.

LOL. I kind of miss the dude even though I don't remember agreeing with him too many times.

That's right. The Chinese posters on that bbs also asked the same question to the admins of whether that guy with the moniker Yao Ming in Chinese is Yao himself. The answer was positive.

OH!I am Chinese and I sure that Yao's post by himself
    No problem.
TO me, Yao is a friend before he is a nba player.

Some of your answers make me wonder that you guys have not heard of wireless internet? It is everywhere most of my IT/computer junkies are "wired" wirelessly.

But that alone does not prove that Yao posted that though. I don't think one can perpetuate a fraud with Yao's name over a long period of time. So only time will tell. I must confess that I am a bit skeptical also because of the facelessness and lack of authenticability that internet brings.

I would not be suprised if that was not writen by Yao even though it is his 'offical' site. I remembered there were at least two well known sport figures claimed that they were 'misquoted' in their own autobiography. Were they Charles Oakley and Roger Celemen?

There are ways to 'offically' be someone even though you are not 'someone' ;)

I didnt' see that free throw (or that game for that matter), but I do notice that Yao tend to run back as soon as he release the second freethrow, sometimes look like he is sure he nailed it. (Mostly it is true) but sometimes he does miss...
So maybe JVG should tell him to try to grab that rebound and do a possible 3 pt play?:)

I thought maybe JVG asked him not to be involved in getting an offensive rebound while shooting fts... why? save yao some energy until he gets his stamina up probably.

-- at least when the other rockets shoots fts, yao is always staying at the backcourt and leave the offensive rebounding to cato these days.
