He also took a shot at Eddie in another recent interview, basically, he told Eddie that Amare always goes one way (to the right? I haven't seen many Phoenix games) but Eddie would forget every single time.

OK, I won't say that although I like Eddie, I wish we had someone else at PF. Oops. Too late.

yeah...the chinese got slaughtered in that war even though it was a stalemate. about 900,000 died.

anyhow...why is yao taking shots at eddie? maybe they are boys now or something and he is just playing around. if he isn't then maybe he should stop playing at eddie's level of aggressiveness and get some more boards.

X.O. (Extra Old) is a grade of Cognac, just like V.S.O.P. (Very Superior Old Pale) Techncially, Cognac is a kind of Brandy. The major difference is all Cognacs can only be produced in the Cognac region in France. X.O. is the highest grade of Cognacs with commercial quantities, outside Louis The Thirteen ($1000 per).

Among relatively rich Chinese regions, X.O. is not a gift to everyone. It has some special meanings into it. That just shows how much Yao Ming respects or likes Steve.

so, is YM having fun with the journalist when he talks about EG. How much does YM actually sound serious about Griffin needing help on defense, and EG is a blackhole 3-pt shooter who won't pass it down low...or does it all seem like a playful inside joke?

I would like to know this as well. I don't get to see many Rockets games so it is tough for me to know whether Griffin really isn't a good passer or what. Anyone want to comment?

I do remember in a previous YM phone interview where YM was talking about Griffin not remembering how to defense Amare and play to his strengths (right side bull rush) and that YM hand to remind Griffin all the time to play that way. Perhaps this is again just another situation where Griffin at 20 shows his age and that while he has a lot of potential still has a ways to go in many aspects. Griffin could do wose than having YM as a teacher. Perhaps YM can show Griffin some post moves too. ;)

Just how legit is this Yang Yi guy? Why is his article on Yao so different than that of other authors?

Am I the only one who is not comfortable with him making fun of his own teammate? Nor do I particlularly like it the way he talked about his opponent the day after.

It just feel like I am watching two very different people.

Not the stale one, no no no.
I tried once some Chinese white wine my uncle brought back from China, that was some serious ****. It was like 80 proof or something. Man just one sip, I am as drunk as drunkards can be. YM should've bought that for Franchise, it's going to get Steve jump-started I am sure.

Yang Yi is YM's closest friend. YM talked to him like a friend not like to media press. I think Ming's comments was quite alright, just joke around. You have to understand Shanghainese's humor, Chao.

I know it's off the subject, but I just want to point out how ignorant people become after they are brain washed by the mainstream medias, even in a free country like the States!

I did a lot of research on the Korean War subject from 1989 to 1992. To no one's surprise, both US & Chinese media & government greatly exaggerated others' casualty number, underestimated their own. The figure you put there is way off from the references published by non-US/China sources.

    Peace!

Hell, I drunk "red dog" when I was piss poor. That XO **** really tasted like piss. Try it for yourself. The Henessy company has this huge ad compagin in Asia that boost the XO to a symbol of status. Asia consumes the most of XO in the world, while the rest hardly what the heck it is. :D
