Good Lawd. That looks like a picture taken during the filming of "Lord of The Rings," some kinda forced-perspective shot. "Here Yao Ming, who provides the body for the Cave Troll (later to be added digitally over him), stops for a snack with a Hobbit stunt double..."
More like he is the kindergarden teacher sitting in the student chairs (with little Colin). At least he can handle the spicy chicken wings. Boki has already complained about the spicy food here -- he's strictly a potatoe and cabbage boy. Yummy.
It could be Windsor Lake Park. I did a search on Yahoo map and got this: <img src="d:\doc\misc\minghouse.gif">
As I remember, Windsor Lake Park is a gated neighborhood. Anybody from that area? I visited Windsor Lake Park when looking for a house a few years ago. Those houses were too expensive for me. The same quality houses in Sugar Land are 30% cheaper.
Chinese Press mentioned that Yao's house is west to downtown Houston. There is a large lake in front of his backyard. Hence whatever the Winse or Windsor Lake Park. But, for a 350 square meter house (3500 sq ft??), it seems to be expensive to cost $500,000 in Houston, isn't?
Having lake front property adds 50-200K to the value of the property. So his house is probably worth 300-450K by itself. Also, it is not the size of the house but the amenities like wood floors, granite countertops, viking stove, marble and other things that make a house expensive. I've seen million dollar homes that are much smaller than that but they were very nice.
Windsor Park Lakes sounds about right. http://www.houstonarearealestate.com/windsorparklakes.html There are some nice homes there. Here's one listed at $800K.
Agree. Yao Ming's neigbours may have a strange feeling. They can see Yao's head floating above the fence. Yao really needs a 8 feet fence instead of a 6 feet one. When Ming met George Bush senior in College station, he must be thinking "Hmm, I know where George Bush Park is"
From Yang Yi's article today, Yao Ming ate a hotdog at 3pm yesterday after almost 6 hours training and practice. Is that fine for him who needs to bulk up? http://www.bjyouth.com/article.jsp?oid=1631593
It depends on how many hotdogs he ate. I hope someone weighing 300lbs that wants to gain weight eats more than one hotdog for lunch.
YanG Yi said Ming only ate one hotdog. Hope that is a super large one. Everything in Texas is Big. I heard this somewhere.
Gee, houston is too cheap. For 500k you get a condo around 2k sq ft in LA. Lakeview plus 35k, that cost millions in southern cal.
