W&S There is absolutely nothing wrong with BSB. As matter of fact, some of ttheir tunes are pretttttty ok. The problem is that the majority of BSB listeners in US are pre-teen to teenager girls. Ming need to keep it secret if he really likes to listen to them, just like many other macho guys on this BBS board.
feishen, you hit the nail on the head with fanbase. I also think that BSB doesn't come across as cheesy in East Asia since English is not the primary language. But it's a sad truth that it's all pop over here. I think Yao may get into Hip-hop, R&B because of his peers, but I don't expect his interest in pop to change. btw, BSB sucks gonads
Also, if you think Ming needs to listen to rap/hip hop music in order to play agressive, FYI, Michael Jordan likes to listen to that mess mellow black jazz artist, (forget the name), even before the game.

I think the question is "Which is your favorite music band in US". I am a hong kong chinese and i dont even listen to american music. And I dont think everyone in the world has to listen to ameican music and understand it's music culture.
