Why not? Ron Artest became a Laker, and he fit right in. Yao / Bynum combo. 24 minutes each. That'd be awesome!

Yao would win a few rings on the Lakers! Go for it Yao! The Houston Rockets failed you as a player again and again. They got rid of a great coach in Jeff Van Gundy for an aging bumbling clueless old man in Adelman who doesn't know how to use a low post presence.

I hope Yao bolts for the Lakers next year. 5 Mil / year. Yao made his money. He doesn't need a huge salary. Now, it's about Championships!

Good idea. Miami could be a good fit for Yao too if there is still MLE next year.

I understand your point of view, as I agree with it. YOFs have a biit of harder time accepting it, though. Such a talent player. What a waste.

Yao: Kobe, what would you say to me joining your team next year?

Kobe: Yao? Serious? Do those idiots in Houston not understand how rare a dominant center is? Hell yeah, Yao! Come on over!

Yao: But you have to promise me one thing.

    Kobe: What? Anything!!

Yao: Don't sing that Yao Ming Yao Ming song to me EVER again!

    Kobe: LOL! hahaha..ok.

Yao and Kobe high fives each other and says together: It's about Championships BAAAABY!!!

LOL...come on you guys. Gotta admit, it would make sense for Yao to go to the Lakers next year. You dont like my funny skit? I thought it was hilarious. It would make a superb NBA commercial, dontcha think?

If Yao could simply be a healthy part time player, he'd still be a nice asset to keep, but it appears that even a severely reduced role won't be enough. Every time Yao plays, the clock starts clicking till his next injury, tick, tick, tick.

    :(

Of course Yao should go to the Lakers, but i am a Rockets fan and I would prefer it if he signed for the MLE to stay with the Rockets.

The stuff you posted would be funny if you are 12.

Yeah I understand. But it seems as if you're outnumbered. I think most Houston fans like Yao as a person, but hate him as a player. They'd be fine with Yao being gone next season. Guys like DaDakota would be crying for joy to see Yao leave. Well, given the current sentiment, Yao should explore his options. He should be trying to win Championships. This current Houston team is a mess, and far from a championship team.

If I were Darryl Morey, it's time to make up his mind. Still keep Yao or start over.

At this point, you have to make the hard decision. If you choose to start over, trade Yao to a team, and get some assets, maybe even a star.

Next year, Yao can sign to a Championship contending team like Miami, or the Lakers, Chicago, or even Orlando. Yao is no longer a franchise player due to his health, so its time to be a super role player on a championship team.

I agree that if Yao is thinking about what is best for him he would bolt to a contender and be the super role player as you put it, Yao coming in for Dwight/ playing next to a guy like Dwight would be insane.

Look Yao is my equal fav player along with Jordan Hill and Amir (Don't laugh) and I am hoping that he stays loyal to the Rockets but unless major changes are made I don't think we can compete next year, this could all change if Yao signs for the MLE though.

@ the Iggy suggestion from someone else, I am sick to death of the Rockets being good enough to finish top 6 but not good enough to win it all, if we get Iggy this will happen again next season and the season after that IMO, we are then stuck with another 10mil+ contract.

    2nd.
I was against the surgery at the biginning. Without surgery, you have the room to treat him. Surgery is a bet. This bet is a lose one so far. His left foot is a failed product from surgery.
Heard of failed back surgery syndrome(FBSS)? Only treatment for FBSS is another surgery done by the same surgeon. I have seen a lady with FBSS who had 18 back surgeries and still need one more, gee....
How about failed foot sugery syndrome? I hope Yao is not that unlucky.

Let him heal fully. No need to rush him back at all. I'd rather have him back at 100 % in January than at 65 % now.

You are seriously trolling. This is still a forum of Rockets fans. Even if you don't respect Rockets fans, at least you could pretend that you are respecting the player you claim you are a fan of.

If I were Yao, I would absolutely hate to be insulted by a random "fan" like that - begging/whoring around to be on the roster of a good team. Yao is a proud person. If you can't even realize or respect that, you should definitely have your mind examined.

Hmm..I don't understand. I echo what most Rocket fans have been saying. TRADE YAO and get some assets, maybe a star. It's time to start over and end the Yao Ming era.

    How is that trolling?

At this point, I agree with the houston fans. Yao is not a franchise player anymore. So trade him, and move on.

Yao, for his interests, should be trying to win a championship. With Houston in rebuilding mode, considering teams like the Lakers or Orlando or Miami is not being a beggar or w****. That's the reality of the NBA. Players get traded or sign to a new team.

This is the kind of posts I love, it adds absolutely nothing to the discussion.
You know what would make an interesting thread, put all the YOF and Yao haters in a single thread and let them fight it out, would be much better than having random idiots posting nonsense.

    Well..

He cant really lose his shooting touch since all hes been doing is shoot while hes injured. And he never had hops nor speed anyway. Hes always gonna be 7'6 so I dont see how he cant become that go to low post scorer again. The only problem he would have is probaly condition.
