just think of this season as a bye season, might as well tank and get the first oick ala spurs during the 1997 season...............

the 1 year off would do Yao good, Iit did saved Jordan's career in the mid 90s, Ilgauskas and Grant Hill recovered after takling a season off...

Just hope Yao would be able to recover, atleast he's off the Chinnese National Team

I guess we need to trade him since he is out for the season huh  We need to trade this injury prone fool to make the team better. With this announcement I don't even know if Yao's trade stock is high or low.

Who is going to want to trade for a guy who is constantly hurt with the same darn problems all the time. Yao is in the same boat as his little big brother steve francis. Yao is done. Time for him to retire. Bill Walton version #2. :(

Nobody knows and if they got offers our GM won't tell us. The last thing the Rockets would do is hint at trading him. Yao may be out, but China still has contracts. I highly doubt Stern or Les would even hint this unless they know for a fact Yao can't play and no longer wants to be a rocket.

The problem with that is we still have enough pieces to finish in the middle of the pack.
