Yes that victory was very handsome but not as handsome as me.
Almost collasping after having a huge lead througout the game is anything but comfortable.

It was really about Yao setting the tempo. Even when he wasn't scoring, he was grabbing all the boards. When he got the ball close, he powered it up and either scored or got a foul. Small ball should never effect a guy like Yao. When Yao plays big, the rox can and should dog those small teams.

    i love handsome, crispy victories.

yao's the man. a fierce competitor, and an unselfish leader. I'm happy to have him on the rockets.

i just hope the rest of the team listens to yao about guards penetrating, ad forwards looking to score.

When Yao plays physical and pounds the paint, I dont think anyone in the league can stop him consistently. When Yao thinks he is Michael Jordan and shoots fadeaways all day is when the Rockets usually are in trouble.

Other than that, I like Yao's aggressiveness in recent games. He is transforming into a real leader and playing with real passion now. He seems to be on a mission to get a championship.

However, from this article, it looks like Yao prefers Scola over Chuck. I am surprised to see that he is commenting who should be starting in public (I thought that's coach's job). I wonder how Chuck feels if he knew what Yao has said to the media.

Yao is of course entitled to have an opinion of who should be starting, but to say that in public ... I don't think that's a good idea.

They'll say the Rockets lose games because Hayes is not playing 48 minutes.

Even Yao is tired to have 2 men sandwich him when Hayes is on the court. And Hayes' consistence in missing open/uncontested layups doesnt help. We should ask Yao how he feels to play 3.5 on 5 offense. I think the answer will be a bunch of expletives.

I think international players are much more open expressing opinions like that to their country's press. This isn't the first time Yao has mentioned Chuck as being a detriment to him to his country's media. I respect his frankness, but it's probably not very helpful if it gets back to the team.

Is Chuck a member here? Propbably not, otherwise he surely should have stopped missing point-blank layups by now.

Don't want to fan the flame, but I read the original version and seems like Yao is not that happy with TMac's not playing.

I think Yao need some who is an offensively good to relieve him of the fronting and double team technique and Hayes has no offensive power at all.
I don't think Hayes is much smaller than Landry or undersize compared to Scola. Yao just need someone to rebound well and to score well along side him.

    :D :D :D

Seriously, if Chuck doesn't want his feelings hurt then he should concentrate on layups. Working on his free throws worulnt hurt either, since his form is the laughing stock of the NBA.

He is not being asked to make a 15 footer jump shot or anything. That idea has been completely thrown out the window. Just some basic layups (a bunch of open ones). For the amount he has bricked so far this season, he should be happy he is still on the team and getting minutes, instead of worrying about his starting job.

Why would he be? Aren't we all unhappy he's not playing? We all want him to come back so we can hate on him some more

This translation is too direct to be understood. What Yao said in Chinese is actually a slang word 爽 (pronounced "Shuang"). What "shuang" means is that you feel really really great. Originally it is used to describe the feeling after sex. You beat someone in a game, you feel Shuang. You team lost to another team, you feel not Shuang. You take a shower in a hot summer, you feel Shuang. You got into Harvard Law School, you feel Shuang. It could have a lot of meanings. So what Yao means is that the win make him Shuang (feel really good). And he forced his buddie to say that it is also Shuang to just watch the game.

Just want to clarify another inaccuracy of translation. In original report by Wang Meng, he quoted Yao saying, "OK,我知道了." The translation should be "OK, I got it". In the above translation "It's okay. I knew it", it seems to imply that Yao thinks that it is okay that T-Mac is not playing, and he knew T-Mac would not play before he was informed by the team staff. I am sure Yao spoke to the team staff in English when this actually happened, and I don't know what Yao said in English. But based on Wang Meng's quote of Yao, he didn't say "It's okay. I knew it."

Just want to clarify that I am not a T-Mac fan. I am a Yao fan and maybe towards YOF sometimes. But just want to make the fact straight.

Yet another inaccuracy in the translation. What Yao means ( 这场比赛赢得舒服 ) is that the win is handsome and comfortable. Yao didn't mean the process is handsome and comfortable (implying they easily beat the Warriors).

T-Mac should realize that he needs to play crispy or be iso'd. :D

Seriously, Indy tonight is GS-lite. It would be nice to see the Rockets take what they learned in the GS game and apply it to the Pacers, while integrating T-Mac into the offense. That means getting Yao the ball intelligently. He should have another monster night if the Pacers decide to go small.
