I'm so sick of NBA right now. Yao has been the target of NBA since he was drafted. Stern just used Yao as a decoy to attract Chinese media and fans.

As much as I love Yao, this isn't about him... it's about the integrity of the NBA. Stern must go.

God Stern sounds like such an arrogant, pompous ass in that video. I'm glad this whole thing unfolded, I'm glad Donaghy is speaking out. Sucks that JVG had to revert and not say what he was really feeling inside, but we as Rockets fans know what he wanted to say. I'm sorry Jeff, I'm sorry Yao, and I'm sorry T-Mac. Donaghy may have gone down...but little did Stern know there was a chance that Donaghy was taking Stern with him.

I know. Yao's case is just one of hundreds that were unfairly treated by NBA.

I just saw this story on Yahoo. I clicked it half expecting it to be the Rockets/Mavs series in 05 and when it was correct my jaw just hit the floor. Also turns out to be really crappy for the Kings in 02 in their series against the Lakers.

This is going to take some time to sink in. Stern is trying to have some sort of crowd control, but are we to believe that Donaghy is the guy that told Van Gundy in 05 about the BS on Yao?? JVG mentioned a league official but didnt say it was a referee from what I recall.

This is why the Rockets will never win the title again, as long as Stern is in charge. The system is skewed against them. Not surprising that the dream finals is now here, ever since Stern no doubt manipulated Memphis and Minnesota to give up their stars to the Lakers and Celtics for next to nothing. Look for future ping pong balls to bounce the way of Memphis and Minnesota as payback, the same as New York winning the rights to draft Patrick Ewing in the 80s.

I have no doubt in my mind that all of this is true.

Stern needs to go. I hope Congress holds hearings or something to turn up the heat on the guy.

What I don't get is...wouldn't Stern make more money with Yao advancing to the finals/winning the championship instead of forcing a game 7 in the first round?

    First, thanks for posting that.

    Second, **** that ****ing piece of **** mother******* ********* *** ***** it.

Third, I'd love to hear what Cuban has to say on all this. Especially considering his outspoken diatribes in the past, Cuban better step up and be proactive about this or I'd say he's a huge hypocrite.

I really don't believe that JVG would make up anything, so corroborating evidence in this case is valid... even from a crooked ref.

All this stuff still doesn't change what I think about NBA officiating in general, which is that IT SUCKS. I used to think that. I still think that.

It is incredibly easy for someone to create a conspiracy story around the reality of the pathetic NBA officiating because it is so terrible.

I am just speechless. I, like many, have had intuitive thoughts about the unfair officiating against Yao, and the news seems to support them. Donaghy is not the most credible person from the League, but in this situation, even an outsider would give his side more credit than that of David Stern when the situation is taken into consideration. The League needs to address this fully, timely and satisfactorily to its fanbase.

Wow. I was out at sea for this and didn't see the games. I didn't realize it was that bad.

Saying that, it is still ridiculous the way Yao gets no calls.

NBA officiating is the worst in any sport, I've said that for a long time. If it weren't for the Rockets I would give up watching the NBA all together. I have to say that I may ens up doing that anyway iof stern doesn't resign.
