I liked what JVG had to say because people try to make it like he was claiming a conspiracy theory when he just said the nba was making a point of watching Yao on screens.

You'd be crazy not to think that the nba doesn't talk about issues like that with certain players especially in the playoffs.

I agree - same thing happened back in the 90's vs. Utah when the Jazz fans, players, coaches & ownership started b****ing about Hakeem traveling, to the point of playing the borderline-racist, incredibly lame "Walk Like A Nigerian" song parody repeatedly. Lo and behold, Hakeem's dream shake starts getting whistled for travels. I'd have to think somebody said "pay attention to that" at some point and it wasn't just the Jazz fans who did that .

So does that mean Tracy McGrady was supposed to have gone out of the first round already?

JVG was being too nice during halftime. He seemed constrained and somewhat dodged the issue b/c Stern was in the building.

League should make a public apology to the Rockets like they did to the Spurs in this year's playoffs.

Its so random, I believe the actual claim was that mark cuban complained to the league. which he probably did, and the nba made a point of watching yao on screens.

fast forward a year later and the Mavs blow the series against Miami in the Finals partly because Dwayne Wade is shooting 20 fts a games (literally).

I would imagine he was thinking about his future in the industry so he watched what he said carefully. Stern already threatened to toss him out of the league when Jeff made the comments back in 2005. I'm sure he has the pull to cost Jeff his job with ABC/ESPN and certainly prevent him from ever doing anything associated with the NBA ever again.

JVG, Stern, Cuban and the so called ref that told JVG the game was being called differently due to Cubes crying needs to be put on the stand. Stern should be facing criminal charges just like Donaghy IMO.

I hope Stern is forced to resign out of sheer embarrassment he has given the game of basketball.

The thing is, if this is confirmed, we don't know how far down it goes.

Does this sadden anyone else? I mean, I'm infuriated don't get me wrong...but this is just sad. Honestly, the finals are on and I don't want to watch them. I don't want to support a Finals that was very likely rigged, and then go through games that are likely rigged as well. Stern needs to go, this league needs a new direction. New life. Ironic that the only way to save this league is to get rid of the guy that is trying his hardest to save it. Is it inevitable at this point? I'm just sick of this crap...Boston/LA finals and both are powerhouses now for a LONG time. They'll likely meet again. Now Chicago lands a number one pick, the Kings get more affirmation they were robbed of a title, and Rockets fans get even MORE affirmation that Yao is one of the leading victims of non-calls, or in this case, ticky-tack calls in the league. Screw this man.

I hope Dictator Stern gets fired, and I kinda hope someone can find charges to file against him. I've hated the arrogant, pithy little man for a long time. This is the icing on the cake.
