I remember hearing that Yao likes to drive really fast. Someone posted a thread that suggested that Yao stop driving like that because of guys like Jay Williams and Bobby Phils. Maybe he only likes to drive fast on the freeways or something.

i remember that too, he said something like wanting to get home quick after a roadtrip.

I think he was driving slow to avoid me. i must have freaked him out when I turn around and stuck my head out the window and and was driving kinda fast. If i got stuck next to him at a stop light i would have said kick the laker's butt!!!!!

LOL. Someone is calling me out?

So yipeng____ are u referring to me? If yes, then please tell me how did I apologise for being asian every time I posted? Why didnt u say so in the respective threads rather than accusing someone from behind? Wow.... what a tough guy!

    The plot thickens.

Why would it spell YY not YM?

Then again, why would it spell YM, shouldn't it spell MY?

We need pics of Yao's tag.

yep it's you. you know what? i didn't want to say anything then because a) i was very annoyed and b) i didn't want to fuel any more fire. but yes, dragon167, some of your posts genuinely annoyed me to juugie levels, and i'm saying it to your face now. i'll apologize if it's some other dragon and you didn't actually post these things, but...

    1) a while ago when the Chinese poster debate raged you basically said that Chinese posters should all go away because the majority of this board is American.

    2) more recently one poster posted something from a Chinese media source. no one complained about its validity and/or bi-lingualness except you.

maybe it's late and maybe i was cranky when i read your posts and maybe i'm cranky now... but while i understand the need to preserve the fundamental integrity of this board, there's no need to persecute your own people. not only do you not welcome Chinese posters you tried to alienate them. i mean the word sell-out comes to mind.

i haven't seen the real tag or its pic but from what i heard it comes from both his gf and him. his last name is Yao and his gf's Ye so you see there are your Y and Y. 11 is the number on both his and Ye's jersey.

LOL. You know what? I am also annoyed by your posts in this thread but I dont want to fuel any more fire, I have decided to call you out and accuse u something in any day at any thread in the near future. Funny logic, huh?? By the way, please check every threads from now on otherwise I am afraid u would lose your right to defend!

U sure the posts u referred to were from the same person? U cant even remember his exact moniker and then u can causally accuse someone "apologizes for being asian"? Anyway, I guess I am the only one using the similar moniker here.

    1) Do u mean this thread? http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67968&perpage=30&pagenumber=1

Actually I replied right after your post. Where did I ask him to go away? Maybe from now on, to be a proud chinese, I should post more random thoughts of chinese fans in other bbs then reply them in chinese. "Yao: dunk above Shaq!" would be a good start. LOL

    2) Do u mean this thread? http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=76276&perpage=30&pagenumber=1

Did u even read the article? It accused SF and Cat lack of professional ethics without any strong evidence (the "controversial one" I referred to at that particular post). I was happy that no one translated that part. Then where did I complain the bi-lingualness? Again, to be a proud chinese, from now on I should trust any chinese articles I read?

The posts were my honest opinion and I am not sure how did I "persecute my own people"and "not only do I not welcome Chinese posters I tried to alienate them". But I can admit that I am more critical of myself and my fellow chinese fans here. It is because I feel like we are guests here in this bbs. It's important to respect the owner's rules and culture. It's our responsibility to being polite and retain harmony here. I think it's chinese culture too.

Last but not least, I am proud of being a chinese, otherwise I wont use my time to search my stupid posts long time before to defend your baseless assusation.

Okay props to you you actually found the two posts I was talking about.

My problem with those two posts was that it seemed like you were always the first one to jump out and blame those Chinese posters. I mean maybe I don't agree with their views either, but I won't spearhead the effort to wipe them out, just because I am Chinese and I've been in their shoes. So I felt you were an apologist... You know what I'm not the guy that wears "Korean Pride" T-Shirts or whatever, it just bothered me a little that you didn't try to understand from their perspective -- the Chinese media is their real media. That please don't ruin the forum in block letters... kinda brought a image to my mind of those guys who sold out to the Japanese during the occupation. I'm sorry that was harsh. But I did think of that.

But you know what? You seem like a good humored guy. And as long as you are proud of your heritage then I have no problems.

Let's hope for a major Yao Ming sighting tomorrow. I mean of the 30/15 variety. If he can get Shaq into foul trouble again tomorrow, the media would have some splainin' to do.

It's different. Why was J-Will so overrated back in the day? Because he was the great White hope.

    Well, some stereotypes ring true.

Asian drivers keep a 10 feet radius free around their car, as if driving with a force field surrounding them.

Granted, put me behind a wheel in Asia, and I'd probably freeze up, too. If not commit vehicular manslaughter (i.e., not on purpose).
