    I think the fact that he can joke about this just shows how not-so-serious the Wang Zhizhi situation is.

    Of course, there's always the possibility the typical anti-China conservatives come out of the wood-works:

    "Yao Ming is a Communist agent sent to kill the defector!"

    Is it just me, or does it seam that Yao has a little bit of a mean streak in him?

    If so, that will only help him.

    From what I have read, he is both a very intense and private person. He masks his aggressiveness with humor. That's not easy to do.
