    USA != the WORLD

USA = the CHILDREN (millions of children with no health care)

USA= ONES that make a better DAY (always tired after a day of work)

USA= ONES that are GIVING (taking back millions of tons of oil)

USA=WE have CHOICES we are MAKING (not really, more like T/F)

USA= WE'RE SAVING Lives (taking more)

USA= ITS TRUE we make BRIGHTER DAY (CO2 emission make a dark cloud)

USA= YOU AND ME (you, not me)

LMAO sorry had to do that. i'm totally bored and USA just beat Canada by like 60 points LMAO :D

    Dear naiveking:

As a Chinese born, and raised in Taipei, no I will NOT remain silent. There ARE Chinese in Taiwan that supported eventual reunification, in which course me, my family, and many of my friends firmly believed in. We will not stand a pro-Japanese government, who has shown no respect to WWII Chinese verterans, deny Japanese atrocities such as Nanjin, been attempted to erradicating any Chinese culture tie, and been using historical hatred against my people in order to win election votes, to declare independence of this island.

This government's officail name is the Republic of China, a Chinese government which led 1911 revolution, a regime designed for the Chinese people. So this island IS a Chinese territory, and we are proud to be Chinese citizen.

To denying Panda, and Yao is just to show how paranoia, and hypocrisy of the current pro-independence administration, who won the election questionablly. DDP is using the tactic of CCP back in a day of cultural revolution. Whoever is oppose them will be branded name of "not loving Taiwan" enough. In many underground radio stations or websites, which ironically openly supported by the government, are spreading messages such as "eradicating, pushing out all the mainlander". And by mainlander, they means from any of who disagree with them to whoever's mother tounge isn't mingnanese. Whichever government using hatred, and internal division to win election has absolutely no right to call itself democracy.

so hopefully this'll be moved to the D+D instead of locked up, but

for the rekkid. my GF of 9 yrs is Taiwanese. not "Taiwanese", but rather Tawainese, with significant Taiwanese aboriginal ancestry on both sides of her family. so when people say "oh you mean chinese", i say "no, taiwanese, and we're against communism"

the Taiwan vs China debate is age-old though like Less Filling vs Tastes Great

    \m/ to capitalism
booooo to communism! it doesnt work, just look at china! human nature is inheritently intertwined with survival of the fittest, hence capitalism works and communism is an idealistic fantasy that consistently and presently ends in human tragedy.

also i find humor in the irony of people saying 'propaganda using pandas and yao ming?!?!', basically giving a textbook example and definition of effective propaganda...to divert attention away from issues indirectly in order to change majority opinion etc etc.

Over half a century? The democratic general election started in 2000. And it has been marred by frauds, corruptions, and briberies.

Don't talk about things you do NOT know.

It seems to me that Chen's administration is the one taking extremist stands nowadays. And I don't see what Taiwanese want to cut off the economic ties with China. More and more Taiwanese business men are moving to China. Without trading with China, Taiwan cannot survive now. And please tell me how Taiwanese cut off the cultural ties with China? The two people share a history and culture of thousands of years old.

    Completely brain washed? :D
There are a few factual errors in your statement. First off, in my post I was merely state the truth, Im not a big fan of communism at all.China isnt a communism country, although theres a communist party but its totally different with what system China's running --- "chinalized" socialism. oh well, I call it democracy-wanna-be.This is a common misunderstanding that people think China is a communism country, nope, wrong. In China people have their own land, their own car, something called private property. You dont find those in communism policy.when I was a kid in my textbook theres a line I still remember --- Communism is Ideal, thus it wont work.

2)Taiwan hasnt been excercising for over half a century. back when it was 1960s Jiangjieshi still trying his best to fight back instead of settle down make a living out of what he had.

3)Na, U.S wont. China is not Iraq. Yea lets bring up the Korea or vietnam war,who get their arse kicked? the point is, why would two country with massive nuclear weapon start a war because of Taiwan a.k.a China's testicle.
tactically, Taiwan is no more than a method to slowing China down. If U.S decided to help out, then they Ultimately failed their rather successful strategy with China --- slow down the development. I dont know about you but I gotta ask around see if they would like to put their money in for the War between two SUPER COUNTRIES.

    anyway, thats it for 2day.
    thank you everyone. :D

Dude! China calling US bad for CO2 omission is like Michael Vick calling Paris Hilton a dog hater.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/news/story?id=2984137&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines
BEIJING -- Despite a persistent gray haze, officials said Tuesday an exercise that removed more than 1 million private vehicles a day from Beijing's gridlocked streets was a success that could mean a clearer sky during next summer's Olympics.

they never had to take cars off the road in LA or Houston to improve air quality. That's some crap air quality!

Where's that Taiwan? Where's that China?

fair enough. dates are precarious by default. like how other sources state 1990s as the dawn of a "true" democratic state, whilst others note significant democratic strides in the disbanding of martial law or illegal move towards 2 party elections both in the 1980's.

whats important, perhaps, is to avoid the instinct to gravitate towards the capillaries, like dates, and rather focus on the arteries, the big picture, like ideas. fraud, corruptions, briberies? to err is human, no? no one said capitalism and democracy were perfect, just pragmatic. unlike communism, which is neither perfect nor pragmatic.

chinese culture? great! pandas? also great! yao ming? double great!
communism? not so great. taiwan blocking yao's visa for propaganda concerns a bit too overboard? perhaps. offseason taking too long to be over? definitely
