You just proved my point. They say it every year and every year posters here get very defensive. IT'S TRUE. Whether they are just unlucky (which seems to be true for Yao) or simply weak (not naming names), they are injury prone. We are a team with only two GOOD players and everyone else is a role player or below. Then when one gets hurt or plays poorly, we are in trouble. This is why most of the experts and commentators are not as high on us as you'd like. They know that if T-Mac has a cold or a hangnail or something or if Yao gets landed on wrong we are almost guaranteed to be defeated.
Provided we keep Landry next year. He is a restricted free agent. And I'm tired of always having to say "maybe next season" with this team. Especially when we had such a good shot this year.
it's time for scola to put his post game to work. we have to see if he's capable of putting up 17-18 pts on a consistent basis now that yao is not there to take up all of the defenders. and we'll see how great really landry can be. i think we're deep enough where tmac does not have to do everything (like yao didn't have to do everything when tmac was out--it was more of a balanced team effort). idk, let's see if tmac can take his game to the next level both physically and mentally. hopefully he won't get depressed and think that this team has no chance now and start sucking.
Great points. Unfortunately T-Mac will be another year older and who knows how those old bones of his will hold up.
Sad, this will hurt us in the playoffs. Who is going to play center now? We should be able to keep wining without Yao.
I don't want to be alive anymore I don't think. If we can find one plus out of this... more play time for Landry and Scola. One minus? It should be another first round exit if we make the playoffs.
