This is agonizing. And we've got no real backup center options. Scola's good, but he can't hang there defensively as a starter game in and game out.

Okay, McGrady, here's your chance to sell us on keeping you here this summer. Put up or get out time for you.

Rest 2 weeks.. tape it up and play through it... This stinks of "I want to be healthy for the Olympics for China".

Every year for the past few years it's been the same thing. The "experts" and the commentators like Barkley have questioned whether we are a real threat or not. They always add the tag of "if Yao and McGrady stay healthy" to the end of their commentary.

Of course, after they say whatever it is they say, all the Rocket homers start whining and moaning about a lack of respect and trash them for implying that our guys are injury prone.

Yet here we are again. Yao is rumored to be done for the year and McGrady has already missed several games due to various ailments. My wife mentioned to me yesterday that everytime we watch a game, McGrady always gets hurt at some point. He's always limping around or holding his hand or his head or gets poked in the eye, etc.

This team is what the experts and the commentators say it is, and Yao and T-Mac ARE injury prone. It's time to stop denying what Barkley and the others say just because we don't want it to be true.

If we make it to the playoffs. With him gone you're taking away 22 pts and 10 rebounds per game.

I already went through this following the Cavs..Big Z (7'3) couldn't stay healthy for a full season until he passed his prime. Ugh, this sucks.

i think it's time we might have to part with both. both are too injury-prone to be franchise players. people don't understand that u have to play all 82 games to get a really good seed (which we can if tmac and yao stay healthy all year).

and u have to be your best in the playoffs physically and mentally and both are usually not that the past few yrs.

idk if i'm rambling but i'm really sad right now.

Well, I am guessing Brent Barry won't be signing with us now.

And that is the major reason why so many of us have advocated for the 3rd scorer.

Both our core players are so fragile in more ways than one.

Oh, well, the off season this team better get the resources to acquire that 3rd scorer or this team won't be doing anything for a while.

    pretty sucky news,
