Diet has to play some factor. He has been losing weight. In asian diet, not a lot of emphasis is placed on protein (ie milk and big portions of meat)....so that may play some role ever since he was a child on bone structure and bone strength.

we all would like for him to make the decision for himself but the truth is his country comes first... they're going to get a second opinion and if surgery is the way to go he'll get it done asap and try to get back in time for the olympics...

We would have won the west if he stayed healthy,we were too physical, we played the best defense out of any of the teams out west,We added bobby jackson to match up with some of the other guards in the west, tracy was starting to play within the system. None of them teams including teh spurs and lakers would have been able to beat us.

this is disappointing but you must have not lived through the pre championship seasons in Houston, believe me you don't know the meaning of pain or dissappointment

This hurt in so many ways. Not only our title run is out of the question now, but we can't witness a battle between us and the new look lakers at full strenght. man, I was soo looking for that! bummer...

I am Chinese and I go to school in america but I don't give a **** about the Olympics anymore. China will not win no matter yao plays or not. We don't have any guard that can pass or shoot. Infact, yao, wang zhizhi, and yi are probobly the best shooters with experience. I just wish yao can be recovered before the playoffs and give us a little boost. I don't want a first-round exit again. I am feeling for T-mac.

At this point, I'm ready to sacrifice a chicken or goat at the Toyota center to lift whatever curse this is.

    I'm being serious.

This cold Chicago winter just got a lot colder. I'll watch my league pass but I won't enjoy it. I feel sick.

press conf should begin now! it's 6.15! . . hmm i hope during the game/before the game tonight i hope tmac makes a speech or someone to the players on the team that "listen guys! . . we should not lose hope, we should be determined to win, only win, nothing else, and we gotta try to make it all the way and make Yao proud because it is him who got us to where we are now!" . . i hope rockets continue to play the same way but with a vengeance! . . i'm excited and sad at the same time for whats to come for the remainder this year and for the post season.

Come on guys, don't give up hope. I predict that Yao's injury opens the door and Scola, Landry, and Tmac create a new dynamic trio, each averaging 20+ points. Landry and Scola both with co rookie of the year and Tmac wins MVP. We still win the championship, and Yao comes back next year and averages 30+ a game and the rockets win the next five titles.

i hope that is true, but what is the posibility... If we have Yao, he will attract at least 2 defenders so that we can confortably shoot 3 pointers.

Well, crap. I hope they caught it early so it doesn't become a Shaq-like problem.
