holy crap.. how am I gonna last the rest of the day at work now...

we've really been in the dumps with luck in the past couple of seasons..

as much as I'd want to see the team go far into the playoffs this year, it's certainly not the same without Yao.

All hope is not lost. A smith said he's still undecided to have surgery or not. Yao wants to play in the Beiging olympic really bad but having surgery could prevent this. Rest is the second option. He won't be fully healthy, but he can play a limited role. I hopes its the latter...its our only hope we will see him play again in the playoff. Again, thats what smith said after talking to someone close to yao.

thanks bro . . ugh yeah i heard 3 to 4 months also, i'm just wishing at this point that yao gets mad at the docs and makes them do some magical surgery and make him rehabilitate faster than a speeding bullet lol . . sigh . . i just hope something good happens, thats all . . :(

Like we were when Yao went out last year?

Its up to Adelman to decide if we want to go with defense and start Deke or offense and start Landry. If we don't use Deke as Yaos replacement then I can see us being a lot worse defensively.

You're confused. A healthy person doesn't get a stress fracture from overwork. It's an injury that is worsened incrementally by adding to that initial small injury.

The more I think about this, the more it feels like that Pujols home run in the playoffs a couple of years back. Like you've been punched in the gut. Still going to the game tonight, though. I'll be cheering/ crying into my collectible Toyota Center beer cup.

Either way, he's going to have the surgery sooner or later right?

If he rests, plays later, let's the fracture grow...he'll need major surgery and rehab which will go well into the beginning of next season.

I hope he makes the best choice for his own interest. He owes it to himself and deserves it. He's been playing for his country and his NBA team. He should make a decision for himself this time.

I am speechless. When I first visited Yahoo sports homepage I saw the rockets picture on the front, and I thought it was another praising article for the Rockets. I am very very sad right now... life is not fair dude.

I just hate how this just came out of nowhere... no warning signs or nothing just... YAO OUT FOR THE SEASON. In the midst of a 12 game winning streak this is the type of blow Rockets fans have to deal with year after year. Somebody is effing up somewhere, the way our players get hurt is BS it is always something.

I don't know what to say. We were "for real" yesterday, and lose Yao today?

What's more, knowing that he will not make the playoff is just devastating.
