i will sit in the corner now and cry myself to death. the only hope we have now is tracy mcgrady and if he can step up his game, i mean not to compare but lebron took his team to the finals, if one person can do that then a team like this with tmac has some what of a chance IF they get in the playoffs, BIG IF

so my friend is just scanning yahoo headlines while i'm not paying attention and goes "oh, that sucks" and as i look up i see "yao out for season" to start off the article. for the first split second it felt like i was reading a clutchfans april fools article, because it just seemed so outlandish, but then i realized, no, i was just reading reality. damn this sucks.

the rockets had won 12 in a row, UT had won 8 in a row and was #5 in the country, and even my secondary NBA team the lakers had won 8 in a row and were tops in the west. it was going so well that all i could think was, man this is going too well. and then i get this sledgehammer to the face.

the playoffs were going to be some of the best ever and we were going to be part of them. maybe another first round exit, but we would make someone's life hard. and yesterday i was thinking i just hope no big names in the west get hurt to mess up the playoffs. now this news just makes everything feel empty. now the best case scenario is we limp into the playoffs as someone's sacrificial lamb. F this feeling.

This is how Tracy feels about Yao's injury.

Would announcing that you are also a Lakers fan in a Rockets fan forum be the equivalent of Lebron James wearing a Yankees hat to an Indians game?

Yao needs to dump his shoe sponsor and get some real shoes. Those shoes don't seem like it's doing him any good.

You will probably be banned by the end of the day so I won't go into too much detail... Big Z is not half the player HE once was because of early career foot injuries. The point is Yao can still be a 23-10 player 6-8 years from now, and you can still build a team around him.

On second thought I think we will make the playoffs. I just read Hollingers chat and he said we only needed to go 12 and 14 the rest of the way to win 48 games which should be enough to secure the 8th spot. Looking back to last year and how we performed with tracy leading the team without yao, I BELIEVE we will make the playoffs and you never know if we get a good matchup with a team other than LA or SA we can advance too. Every playoff team outside those 2 has some issues, NOH with experience, PHX with an aging shaq, DAL with a pg that can't shoot, and the rest just aren't that much better than us.

^^^^^ what in the hell are you talking about????.......the key point you made was that Z is "half" the player he once was.....this injury will definitely impact Yao, so what makes you think that the wear and tear he has on his body combined with 6-8 more years would still allow him to be a 23 and 10 player????....you make no kind of sense, if you logically think about it.........Yao is barely getting these numbers "now" when he is at full strength..........you should be banned for posting such idiotic statements........
