Hayes back to starting PF, Scola to Center and Landry and Mutumbo coming off the bench, its not horrible and we've won in stretches without Yao but he was the huge advantage that we had over teams like PHX and the Lakers. Now we really have no legit low post threat to draw double teams.

Oh good, Yao will be back about halfway through the Conference Finals. We'll need him by then. ;) :(

Toe nails, leg fractures, etc. It's not uncommon for big men to have LEG problems.

Does anyone remember YAO went to the locker room during one of these last games? What was that for?

Can't Yao just play through it like Kobe. Its not like he relies on his quickness or anything.

Bad news. Dude's just played too much ball. Not talkin' just about this year, but over his whole career with the Chinese national team, etc. His body just can't hold up to the pounding.

I saw that just as I returned home and I'm just speechless.

This is unfair, WHY ? We had the team to win it all, F*** !

I have no doubt we will make the Playoffs but missing Yao is something. Damn !

    :( :( :( :( :(

This is really tough, but it ain't over, GO ROX

A broken pinky you can play through. A broken foot(which is technically what Yao has) you don't mess with.

As much as we want Yao back this season, the medical staff is making the right call with his career in mind. Didn't a bad call by Detroit's medical staff screw up Grant Hill's career for good?

Rockets need to give Scola touches in the low post. He's got moves. Teams will double team him.

If they are doing surgery it's because they feel the injury wont heal with rest or are worried about recurrance. But I can't imagine that he'll be rushed back and his next appearance will likely be in bejing.

Hillitis is what Wade is catching...constant over physical play relying on the whistle. Soon Wade will be a role player that had a great few years due to injury like Hill and Hardaway :( And soon Yao... :(

Good luck to Yao. Good luck to Rockets. Let's see what other players can do at this moment. I recall last year we played pretty well when Yao was out. Hope we can do it again.

    Go TM, Go Rockets Go!
