i doubt it. he has a stress fracture which isn't suprising considering he plays basketball all year round. It will heal, hopefully it won't require surgery and is all about just rest.

As I said in another post, Yao's injuries are usually severe and stem from awful luck. People landing on his foot, etc.

Tracy doesn't go a single game without passionately expressing pain or discomfort about some part of his body. I'm serious. Next time you watch, pay attention. He always limps around or hurts his hand, or gets hit in the face, etc. and demonstratively lets the whole world know about it. Yao may have bad luck, but Tracy is soft.

Good point! I believe Tmac and Scola too. We will make playoff and even pass the 1st round.

So he's out for the playoffs also, right? (Assuming we could make it.)

Are we really going to start blaming the coach again because our stars are injury prone?

I remember last time, 2 years ago it was Van Gundy's fault that Yao broke his foot.

Does anyone know how long it will take for Yao to recover from this?

The team doctors such big time, that's all I gotta say.

Yao has been complaining pain in his left foot ever since the Bucks game and was feeling even more pain before the bulls' game, yet the team docs did not do nothing until he eventually fractured his left foot

    crap

biased much? I guess Tmac's back injuries and the legit knee injury had nothing to do with luck

whatever. i blame neither of them, just love that when Yao gets hurt everyone is so sympathetic.

Yao's reoccurring foot injuries have me seriously concerned. It just seems very serious to have feet problem when you carry the weight he does. It seems like knees and feet are the big men killers. I'm very, very concerned.

Yes, that's pretty much the feeling, and not the kind where you kinda knew it was over, but the kind where everything was going super up until that point.

Will we ever get a break? (no pun intended)

Who's going to step up and benefit from the increased playing time? We know Deke had a great stretch last year with Yao out. Landry looks prime, but without him on the bench we lose a lot. Plus he's definitely undersized to be playing at C.

I mean it isn't individual players that have really taken us on this streak. It's the TEAM that has worked so hard.

    Wow, this is so terrible.

This is so demoralizing...A bad day for me just got worse. In the middle of a 12 game win streak no less. I just yelled at somebody for no reason.

This might be an unpopular thing to say, but I don't want Yao playing for the Chinese National Team ever again. I want him for the most part to take every summer off. His only obligation should be to the Rockets. He's a big guy and he needs the rest.

I guess I should ad a few of these too... :( :(

It's hard to believe that Yi killed Yao's season. It's fate.
