Damn man. Wish we had him now. Going to miss the big fella. He has a lot of positivity and determination going on, which is something to be admired in a player. Hope he comes back healthy and ready for the 10-11 season. Hopefully, by then, we'll have a roster ready to contend against Los Angeles, Cleveland, San Antonio, and Boston.

On the topic of playoffs, I can't see us really making anything above 8th. We could totally beat Phoenix or New Orleans with a healthy McGrady( or the star/almost a star we traded him for) for the 8th spot, but then what? Another kick out by the Lakers? I don't think I could handle it. :(

Yep, Issues with health, toughness, heart, and effort. Nevermind those are just Tracy McGrady's issues.

I have your back on this one Bizzle. The Yao bashing is incredible considering that practically the whole NBA nation is appreciating Yao's value to the Rockets,i.e. if Yao were playing the Rockets would be contenders, without him they are not even expected to make the playoffs.

What "incredible" Yao bashing are you referring to?

    Give it up Bizzle...
It's getting old. We all know you dislike McGrady.
The season is approaching, and he's our only hope to make the playoffs. So, let's try supporting him?
And forget it.. he's not gonna be traded.

Awww.. sticking up for his man. Like a good woman should.
What makes you think he won't get traded? Is'nt it a little too early for that kind of prediction?
I know Bizzle can be harsh on Tracy, but I don't think he makes these things up. If and when Tracy comes back this year, be prepared for another first round exit.

    Funny guy.

    Reasons he won't get traded:
-Only hope to make the playoffs
-Superstar player when healthy. Unique talent. [Les Alexander talked about how rare a superstar is, making it difficult to part ways with him]
-Contract: Hard for teams to match his salary in a trade. Comes off the books for us if things don't work out.
-Trade value: We wouldn't be able to get an equal return of talent, so why trade him? Why not just keep him til his contract expires, then pick up equal/better talent through free agency?

Nothing else comes to mind at the moment, but logic says to keep him. Only way I see him getting traded is if we can somehow steal some young talent/contributers that will come off the books at the end of the season, get equal talent(jokes), or if he becomes badly injured again.

I think we can assume a possible first round exit no matter what this year... Making the playoffs will be a long stretch in the first place...

And if you still believe McGrady is the reason we haven't made it to the first round in prior years, I think you need to look up our past rosters.

You're just making up excuses for him...

The man said it himself.. " If we don't make it out of the first round it's on me." With a comment like that, I think it's fair he gets most of the criticism.

They're not excuses? Stats don't lie sir.

And you're reading too much into his words. McGrady's words are always questionable. Look at the factsssss. Then blame him.

I don't know how you were raised, but I was raised to take a man for his word. His words define who he really is. When you shake a someone hands it has to be firm. When you talk to someone you look them in the eyes, and when someone steps up to your face it's time to fight. I guess Tracy is not a man, but a joke no one can take seriously.

You said I was reading too much into his words. I was explaining why I take his words so seriously. You just don't say things like that and expect not to get criticized.

You may want to read the past threads re Yao and Gasol, etc. I am sorry I don't have time to spoon feed you with info. You have been in this BBS for a long time so don't give that pretense.

The facts staring him in the face are that he has never led a team out of the first round in his 10 plus years of playing in the NBA. One can blame all the outside factors, and especially his team mates, but ultimately it is "on him" as he said. Those are the facts.

i agree..Even morey said they have not officially Ruled Yao out for the season...The way he is rehabbing, I think Yao has a goal to return in March if we are in teh playoff hunt...We just have to stay in the picture...
