What they need to make is a career mode where you get to be a potential lotery pick. You would go through the work outs and try to be picked up in the lottery. Then of course you would have to play only as your character when you play with the team, and the better you do the better contracts you will receive and endorsments you can get. They could even add injuries that would keep you out of games, and if you get drafted by the Blazers, you get to have a weekly urine test.
Nba live can only improve from what they achieved last year. I have palyed nba2k and its the same every year except for improved graphics. From the E3 convention, reviewers have said that Nba live 2004 has moved towards sim and we can now adjust the game to whatever we want it to be with sliders. I can't wait til October!
Haven't read anything about EA Sports Bio in this thread yet. http://www.easports.com/articles/04a/easportsbio.jsp Now THAT'S something everyone here would like. Enjoy!
Very true. I bought both games for 2003 year. NBA2K3 is updatable online and is very realistic in its simulation mode and is the closest thing to real NBA basketball, its pace and everything else is true to NBA basketball. Then we have NBA LIVE 2003, in this one the graphics are excellent, but that is where the pros of the game end. The cons are numerous but among them and most importantley is the superfast pace of the playing mode, where you can barely even set-up a play or get back on defense in time. It is too fast and too unrealistic. I average 6 blocks a game by steve francis in this game, because any and everyone here can block a shot too easily. Besides the game gives me an absolute headache when I play it because the screen goes back and forth too quickly and everyone is moving too fast in it. But again it may be just me!
Only problem I have with Live 2003 is that whenever you turn the difficulty up to a higher level, they take that as a chance to just flat-out cheat! Between dozens of fouls not getting called (unless it's for the other team) and Dikembe Mutombo having 4 steals against Steve Francis, I just got too frustrated with it. So I just played NBA Street Vol. 2! The End!
THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. And then you can live the "NBA Life" and it's you're like an NBA Star in a Grand Theft Auto style game. AHAHAHAHA. Fantastic. Career mode....you start as a high schooler training. And you try to get into a good high school.....and play with crap....and then try to get recruited into a good college. And you try to find agents. Make it all strategic. And then you go to workouts...and there are movies and videos you can watch where guys talk and they talk about all the insider stuff and all the behind the scenes stuff. And then you can drive around in your like Honda Civic....and you can play streetball on the weekends and go to local tournaments. And you get to choose a hometown. You can be from different cities.. And then you can go shopping and do missions and accept money like Chris Webber and Mo Taylor did. And you can go to bars and start dancing. And you can meet women and get married. And you can play in games like regular basketball. And you can sign contracts and find money making opportunities and go on vacations!! And buy houses and cars and invest! And have a family.... NBA game meets NCAA meets Streetball meets Grand Theft Auto 3 meets Dance Dance Revolution meets The Sims meets Airplane Simulation meets Rallisport Challenge car game meets Mafia gangsters game meets The Stock Market Investing game. Whooo. That would be a great game by itself or a fantastic career mode. But it would require a lot of space and memory and graphics and design and planning.
Vince Carter is the coverboy for NBA Live 2004. Run out and buy 10 copies today, even if you don't own a game system! http://xbox.ign.com/articles/433/433123p1.html
EA ya piece o'crap! I can just take a bus to EA Sports HQ down in Burnaby (a suburb of Vancouver -- that's where all EA Sports games are made) and start throwing rotten eggs and tomatoes...
Pretty bad pic if u ask me. Plus let me get this straight, VC has sponsered Microsoft's Inside Drive 2002, NBA 2K3 (he was in the commercials with Wallace and Payton) and now he is with EA's Live series and on the cover of Midway's NBA Ballers, man thats amazing.
man. how is VC getting all these endorsements first the all star game, now the cover of EA sports. Anyways, I had both 2K3 and live 2003 and I liked 2003's game play much better than 2K3's. looks like live stepped up its game, I can't wait to see what Sega has in store.
Live will have 10 man motion capture this year. There are supposed to men fighting for position in the post, screens, guys cutting to the basket. It should be good. And finally on March Madness you will be able to import your draft classes into Live. Carmello graces the college cover this year. ESPN is supposed to have a new control scheme that I suspect will attempt to mimic Live's freestyle. Iverson is still the cover boy. He looks like the Godfather. Shaq is on the cover of Inside Drive 04. The thing that intrigues me about ID is the XSN sports feature that allows you to, through Xbox live and the web, participate in leagues that keep real time stats and allow you to actually scout your opponent before a game. Worth a rental at least. My choice will most likely be Live though.
