WOW. Does anyone notice in this screenshot that they have the Compaq Center interior down COLD?!?!? The Comets banners/retired jersies in the background, the familiar bulb lights along the ceiling and over each entrance to the arena, etc. I'm a "NBA Live" guy, myself, but they NEVER are THAT detailed when it comes to the arenas in the games. It's always some generic arena with a different floor, depending on what teams you're playing with...
NBA 2k is the same way. They even have the Comets and Aeros banners up there along with the distinctive walkways on the ceiling. That game rules.
My biggest prob with all basketball games is the way they evaluate rookies. How do they know how good they are (remember JWill and his 79 rating in Live). Just watch Lebron get his 85 rating based on his play against HS talent.
PS2 and XBOX is already outdate! PC CD is cheaper and better, oh, well, of course, it depends on what kind of computer you have, for me, PS2 IS OUTDATE.

does the nba2k series have a good franchise mode? i played about 2 games in nba live 2003, and spent the rest of the time just maintaining my roster, monitoring my rookies progessions year in and year out
Everyone. The new uniforms and the new arena are going to be in both NBA LIVE 2004 and ESPN Baskeball 2K4. No need to worry. Videogame developers ask for these renderings months ahead of time before we as fans even know anything...
Yeah, I was never satisfied with NBA Live 2003. Everytime even if I had cap space my players would refuse to sign in Franchise mode and go sign minimum contracts on another team. One time the Clips signed Tim Duncan, Rasheed, and some other top tier folks for peanuts just to win a championship. How unrealistic. I think Yao would make a great cover, but something tells me it will probably be LeBron on the cover. After the debacle that was Live 2003, they had better make 2004 better or EA, I'm taking my money elsewhere.
I agree....man...he even gets his own section and they spend all this time making his face look so realistic in the game..... lol.....ESPN BASKETBALL 2k4!!!
