Everyone has risk of injury. Most of the Rockets fight hard through them, and then there's the one guy they are trying to get rid of.

I think it was Doc Rivers that looked at McGrady's back early in his career and said he wouldn't last long in this league.

Of course, McGrady did end up lasting a pretty long time but when you have scoliosis or whatever, it can have long-term effects on the rest of your body, especially in the case of a professional athlete.

You could argue that McGrady proved Rivers wrong or you could look at it like McGrady has been living on borrowed time for the past several years.

Amare is another injury prone. And that's one of the main reason Phoenix was open to trade him..

I don't think the guy who could beat Yao in their first year of NBA, should be called trash. Yao can't be defeated by a trash.

I just saw Yao this evening at The Monarch in Hotel ZaZa. He was eating dinner with three other people on the bar side of the restaurant. He looked relaxed and like he was in a good mood.

I have just been a casual reader now and been trying hard just to read and not comment unnecesarilly. ............ Till this day

***** are we really that cursed with injuries/health or what .....

I havent recalled any healthy season ever since the 2000 eras where mobley and francis were their leading scorer and ailing in out from the line up :(
We even started moochie and other scrubs in between.

    Now yaooooooooooooooooooooo omgggggggggggg tmac's 3 game .....
We are getting injured when the spurs just added Rj.

No ones gonna be interested in playing for the rockets anymore be it Free agent or Draft picks ............................

A plot to downgrade Yao's trade value? Same thing the Rockets did to Landry?

What it all boils down to is Yao is a 7'6" unathletic center that weighs over 300 pounds. The human body is not designed to support such a massive man of his weight and stature. Yes he is in great shape cardio and health wise, but it's his frame that can't take all the strain he puts on his body. His foot and knee problems are always going to be a reoccurring thing and will persist throughout the remainder of his basketball career.

Yes he is the best player on the team, but what does that matter if he can't be there when you need him most during the playoffs? I hate to say it but I think the team should be pursuing trade possibilities for Yao as he is still in the prime of his career. One of the reasons the Rockets aren't going to like trading Yao is because all of the international marketing and attention he brings to the Rockets. As much as everyone loves him, I would really consider parting ways with him if we could land a big man through a deal with McGrady + other guys that will become expendable after we get something big in return (PG/SG) from whoever we trade Yao to.

Call me in 3 months about this, and maybe I'll be concerned. Until then, whatever. He's got plenty of time to heal up, after all.

    Les: Are we getting Amare?

Morey: I am working on it boss...

Yao: Amare is going to be a Rocket?

Morey: Yeah, I was going to tell you tomorrow...

Yao: OK, I am going to opt out then.

Morey to Marketing: Tell the media that Yao's foot still have problem, quick...

    Just playing.... :D :D :D

Let's see... Yao's last game was Friday, May 8.

That makes it just under seven weeks since the diagnosis.

I'm a teensy bit concerned, but not nearly as panicked as some...

...that being said, I can't help but wonder if maybe someone ought to re-examine the feng shui of Toyota Center or something. Seems like the Rockets are kinda cursed...

At this point, I'm almost willing to sit Yao for half a season to keep him fresh in the playoffs. As long as this isn't going to be a long term thing, I don't really care.

Lol Carl Herrera. 2nd best post itt behind the op. If I was Yao, I would be so pissed off at the team docs. What do you mean my feet aren't healed?! I would also be pissed off at my frail-ass feet, too. Anyway, everything's gonna be ok guys. Just chill and pray for Amare's eye to be ok.
