Here we go, just like nobody gives a Rat's ass that the long time posters think they know it all. This post was about his health, nothing about trading. My original comment "Better to be injured earlier than later" stemmed some responses. Really what is wrong with that statement. Your the guy who brought up a previous topic about Griffin and Yao, its a different thread because you felt the need to comment on my post.
Okay for saying I had Hope that Rocket player will be Healthy. Right, please ban me for expressing my views, while I get attacked because I can't express my hope that player A is healthy so we can win a championship. I more than welcome a ban if it was against the rules to express views of Hope.
I don't see us trading Yao because of this. The money he might have gotten with his next contract has certainly fallen but he is still valuable when healthy and he still has plenty of time to get healthy before the actual season starts. I am however starting to worry about our team doctors, because it seems like this is another case of one of our stars not getting better after listening to team medical advice. Now a lot of people may want to lay the blame firmly on just Yao and McGrady but Battier himself was hurt at the end of last season, went under the knife in the summer and still missed the first quarter of the season.
OR..... Rockets are working on a trade that involves Yao and the announcement is to soften the PR blow?
I think we all want Yao to be healthy. But if "hope" means tricking myself into believing that its likely because of some affection towards him, I'm done with that. I still like Yao and think he's a wonderful person, but I can no longer ignore the mounting evidence that he's not a wise future investment.
Maybe you should get off your high horses then? It's not what you or the fans wants. It's what the organizations wants to do with Yao. Yao's been good to the organization and in return they want to build around him. Yao is one the the hardest worker, humble and give his best effort. You don't just trade that kind of a players away who's been good to the team and a leader. You give him a chance to rehab and go from there. You don't treat a player like his calibre like a piece of meat and just trade him because you think he's no longer important or that his career is over. Maybe you should read up on Mario Lemieux.
Dude I agree with you, I just want him healthy so we can win because we won't trade him this year. I never said we keep him forever. Apologize for the confusion if people thought I said this.
so I'm at lunch and watching espn news and their segment on Yao. Below pictures of brokefoot was the following tagline "Yao out indefinitely" Now, what is Yao out of indefinitely? Was it the 7th annual clutchfans pickup basketball game? Games at the Fonde? Competitive eating contests?
Please point out where I implied that what I wanted was in any way relevant. ok, that's great. all too predictable that once again a Yao debate devolves into a character judgment.
Sounds like one of the Western team are scare of the Rockets having a healthy Yao with a rejuvenated Rockets team. LMAO. Maybe it's the Lakers.
what i had mentioned earlier yao said he wasnt going to plan on playing for the CNT this summer and probably cant say himself that publicly so the rockets say this to get Yao out and have everyone save face CNT see Yao as a commodity as the Rockets do and want to make as much money as possible off of Yao, the difference is the Rockets pay Yao a wage
That was the plan, but would it be surprising for the CNT to come calling if the Rockets proclaim that Yao is back to full strength?
Never trust the CNT. Yao probably never gotten injured this year if he was given a well rested last year to fully recovered instead of rushing back to get ready for the 2008 Beijing Olympic. This year they want to give him a full recovery instead of declaring his leg has fully recover. That will probably give the Chinese some other excuses to use Yao in some other stupid events. I think it's a smart move on their part if its true.
Wrong. Espn reported at the end of their article that the suns are still negotiating on Amare. I've supported Yao and Tmac all my life but it looks like the "restart" button will need to be pushed.
