Nice video...good to see Yao playing basketball with some American attitude and shelving the nice guy stuff while he's on the court.

    Ironic title....."Yao speaks good English"

Yeah, from looking at YouTube I think it was "Just try to f**king stop me." Good find. I didn't know he was taking it that far.

Well see, that's Yao learning to play in the American league. "When in Rome. . . ." I think he now believes that you can only win in this league by dominating and grabbing victories hard; if you don't, someone else like Kobe or Baron Davis will. That's what he has to do now: start to grab victories by force, like MJ and Kobe and Shaq.

Wow... after he yells the expletives, you continue to see him stare down... very scary.

TNT (Charles and Kenny) should be sent a copy of this... as superficial as they are, it will make them think twice about criticizing Yao for "only scoring 30 points because he's supposed to."

    Try****ing stop that!!!
U guys must wonder what have changed in Yao?
Yao after the Twovles game which we lost said something in Chinese "I will make these shots in the future" in the furth quarter. I knew right that moment he learned he had to take a leadership role and his confidence was growing tromendously inside him.
This is the first time i heard him say sth like that. and since then he has being the cold blood monster to take the clutch shots and make them.
it is a mental thing or say confidence. he deserves it. and it is about time.
When T-mac comes back..I mean real comes back, he has to learn to defer to Yao. because Yao really is different now.

Does anyone have the video of Yao chasing after a ref, shouting and screaming, from one end of the court to the other? It was during an international game played sometime after the 2000 Olympics? At the time it did the rounds globally as one of those novelty pieces they show on the news.

Yeah I share the same idea. I hope Yao to have his aggressive play but still keep good image, aka, cool, nice and humble. Actually that has helped for his image. I don't want him to be another hip-hop trash talking guy. We have enough of them. I want that good guy Yao back, that unique in the league, so just keep it. Heck Yao should be the face of NBA.

I think you guys are missing the point. It is one thing to go out and talk **** to your opponent, and it is another thing standing up for yourself. Yao has taken enough abuse, and its about time he is standing up for himself! The game winning shot at Washington, and the trash talking today are signs that Yao has grown by leaps and bounds. Defending yourself and having confidence is one thing, but going out and talking **** (aka. MJ, Reggie Miller, and Shaq) is another.

Exactly!I don't mind he showing some emotions after big plays, but I don't like the trash talking,I want him be the likes of TD,Wade,Nash etc, keeps his good image while dominating the game.

Come on, today's scene was not defending himself -- he was not fouled or abused when he made that shot. It's not like he was abused by refs or his opponents. He could show his confidence w/o out that cursing.
