either you don't understand basketball or you don't know NBA. you're on the court, you're in a war. Yao saying this doesn't mean he's not the Mr good guy in front of people. Just means he's now totally in the game. btw, I'm from Chinese, too.
As long as Yao keeps his demeanor outside the basketball court, it doesn't matter if he curses at refs or swears at opponents Profanities are a part of the game too along with professionalism and determinism!
它 and 我 are two totally different words.............just throw them into a translator and they'll say 'It and me'. Unless you are talking about lip movements.........
Don't forget there is a Chinese saying that goes something along the lines of "If you enter (or visit) a village, you have to follow the village traditions" (入鄉隨俗)
"You can't f-ing stop me" Again, I've got no objections to the swearing. It's just what he said, makes him seem like an ass.
I saw that...I was going to go back to the dvr and to get the whole thing....thanks. That clip should be made into a gif
I missed the game, and come to read comments on it and see this! Wow. Thanks for uploading it to Youtube. I watched it four times and it gave me chills. First Yao puts his foot down regarding the refereeing, now this. Bring it, big man! There's nothing wrong with talking trash on the court if you can back it up. It's all part of the psychological part of the game.
hahahah Yao cant make everybody happy eh? First, he's too soft and people tell him to grow some balls. Now hes got big fat balls and these people are staying he shouldnt be using swear words. THE KIDS! Think of THE KIDS!!
Friday, did you hear Bill Worrell call Vladamir Radmanovic a caveman by saying he had just filmed a geico commercial
Hey Dude,do you really know about Chinese and Yao?I'm form Shangahi and still remember ,when yao play for Shanghai Sharks, yao always said defiance words or dirty dig to the opponent when they play dominate in a game. In fact Chinese dirty dig is much more and cooler than American. And at the 1st season in Houston of Yao ,I usualy heard he shouted "ta ma de"which meas "****ing one'smonther" from Tv when houston played not very well
You guys are forgetting that this is professional sports we're talking about -- maturity is rarely a part of the picture.
It takes big fat balls to say "f***k"? Wow.. Then there aren't more brave of people in the world than in middle school.. So, what were you saying about the kids?
just saw this right now (was at the game yay!) and its great to see that yao is starting to get swagger. unfortunately he will not get player of the week because of the poor record the rockets put up but he had the numbers there to support it. you know who is probably the happiest out of this? tmac! i can just picture the guy seeing this and smiling knowing that once he is back with yao playing and thinking like that, the sky is the limit (cliche i know) for this team
