I don't know if he should go losing to much weight. Plus I hate the idea that run and gun will get you a championship. And in regards to the early days of Yao when Marbury crossed him over, that probably would happen to most centers. Plus his teammates left him out to dry. Wasn't there a story that the only guy that really even talked to Yao when he first joined Houston was Steve Francis. That Yao even stretched by himself, until Stevie started to warm up with him?

by far the slowest player on the planet
needs to learn to play smarter, then he might actually be an asset at times with this group

    agreed
    my point exactly
yao needs to study the game
use his head more instead of his height
basketball IQ wise, he has so much room for improvement

Didn't that Marbury crossover happen in Yao's rookie season? He's not that player anymore; in fact, he's one of the best defenders of the paint in the league, for both his skills and his size.

People need to let that go.

    haters gonna hate.
you've just said yao is DUMB and the SLOWEST player in the league. Hopefully the more enlightened part of your brain realizes how easy it is to prove that statement wrong.

I dun see Shaq runs any faster than Yao, in fact some of the time he didn't run during a fastbreak.

I like Yao and respect him as a player but what do you expect. It was something you expect would happen. That can't be as bad as this...

there are already 3 volumns on youtube of "nba b*tches starring yao ming", highlights of yao ming getting dunked on by hundreds of players from the stars to the scrubs. the only other player being rewarded with such mix is shawn bradley, and he only gets 1 volumn lol
so yeah, yao's been getting it already, no need to embarss the poor guy like that w/ the nate video, althought its probably one of the lowest moments in rockets history :(

    anyways,
the point of this thread yao trying to lose weight
and in my opinion, he needs to gain some basketball IQ, and stop being so clumsy on the court all the time
losing weight won't help him fit with this current team at all

not saying it is or that we should all suck up to Yao

but ur saying some really stupid things and you don't even have any evidence to back them up save some youtube videos - hell a youtube video could make MJ look like a scrub if the right clips were selected.

    if you've been watching
yao needs to improve his basketball IQ
limit the stupid fouls and turnovers.. court awareness etc
any average fan should be able to see that

any average fan would see the pounding and abuse Yao gets down low - a big reason for his turnovers. Fine, he could be even better at limiting his TOs - but stupid fouls? wtf are you talking about.

Court awareness - Yao rarely forces a shot, always passes it out back to brooks or an open shooter when he gets doubled - he rarely gets the pass back/repost though.

You realize our defense is worse this year with Yao out right? I think you need to improve your basketball IQ
