I am really frustrated as well. I happened to be able to watch 2 Rocket's live game on TV this season. But just like my wife said, whenever you watched them, they lost and Yao sucked. It's so true...maybe I should quit watching games on TV. :( :( :( :(

Joey: Wait a minute! I know you. You're Yao Ming. You play basketball for the Houston Rockets.
Roger Murdock: I'm sorry son, but you must have me confused with someone else. My name is Roger Murdock. I'm the co-pilot.
Joey: You are Yao! I've seen you play. My dad's got season tickets.
Roger Murdock: I think you should go back to your seat now Joey. Right Clarence?
Captain Oveur: Nahhhhhh, he's not bothering anyone, let him stay here.
Roger Murdock: But just remember, my name is ROGER MURDOCK. I'm an airline pilot.
Joey: I think you're the greatest, but my dad, TheRockets#1Fan, says you don't work hard enough on defense. And he says that lots of times, you don't even run down court. And that you don't really try . . . plus you are overrated.
Roger Murdock: The hell I don't! LISTEN KID! I've been hearing that crap ever since I came to the US from China. I'm out there busting my buns every night. Tell your old man to drag Shaq and Duncan up and down the court for 48 minutes.

Send him to Nets. It would be cool for both Yao-fans and Anti-Yaos.

    there are no anti-Yaos.

only posters who arent such huge fan-bois that they see what his problems are and arent afraid to speak up about it.

the problem is, some of you see any discussion about Yao's flaws as "Yao haters"

so in that vein, we should start labelling all the posters who constantly bash the rest of the team as "Rockets-haters" huh?

I dare you to find any real rockets fan who doesnt want Yao to do well.
the few that have comeout and said that they dont like Yao are in the minority...a very small minority.

now get over your hero worship and accept the fact that Yao IS NOT GOIN ANYWHERE. He is a Rocket, and will be for a long time.

If you dont like it...find another team to cheer for.

This thread should be shut down for the stupidity of it. Yao is only in his second season. He not only has to adapt to the NBA game, he also has to adapt to a new culture, new language, new people and being away from home. He is going to be a GREAT player when his career is all said and done. He just needs to develop that mean streak, where he just gets the ball and slams it down instead of laying it up. Right now he is in his second season and he doesn't get the respect of the officials so he can't be too physical or he would get called for a lot of fouls. With a league that has no real centers anymore with the exception of Shaq, Divac, and few others who are going to be gone by the time Yao develops into a STAR and watch out, he will be dominating. Getting rid of Yao is about as ridiculous as 99% of clutch members wanting to get rid of Steve. Yao is by far better than most centers in the league already, he is better than that stiff the Spurs have, and better than Brad Miller. Give it some time, the Rockets time will come in the next few years. I know it is frustrating to have to wait but that just makes it so much sweeter when it happens. Peace.

I have only seen a couple games so far this year but Yao looks like a lost sheep out there. And he is way to passive. I don't know how many time I have yelled at the TV for him to just dunk the damn ball instead of missing a weak lay up.

I was expecting much more from him after his preseason play, but he has pretty much sucked in the regular season from what I have seen so far. It has been very disapointing.

The fact that Yao can't jump very high is a positive in one sense; it helps him avoid injuries. He's not going to twist a bunch of ankles or hyperextend a knee. Anyway, his rebounding technique is so horrible that jumping ability seems like a minor concern.
