Yao Ming is a big, soft, above average center.

Paging all admins, Paging alllll admins...

We're in need of a demotion and thread-starting privileges taken away for.. forever.

Seriously, you HAVE to be in middle school because if you were any older, you wouldn't type such sinful statements. So if you are, I guess I can't bash a kid. Move along...

Oh my god. Yao for Eddie Curry? Are you freaking serious? Have you not seen the countless times Yao has single handedly destroyed the Knicks when all Curry can do is foul, turn the ball over, or get his shot blocked?

I can't fathom why someone would include him as an alternative to Yao in a thread critical of being big and soft. Curry's toughness per unit bulk is probably last in the league.

It makes you wonder if this guy has ever seen Eddie Curry play a game.

Didn't want to contribute to this thread, but I just have to rub in the fact that you got demoted. You certainly deserved it.

Yao, needs to use two hands when he goes up for a dunk instead of trying to bang it home with one hand. The ball either get's blocked or he bangs it off the rim.

Prime example last night was the spin move towards the baseline on Big Z who just follows Yao as Yao attempts a weak right hand reverse and gets it blocked easily.

I wouldn't have a problem with Yao if he didn't shoot so many fade aways and layups that should have been power slammed two handed dunks. The two handed dunks make players get out of your away.

You don't need to be a power center like Shaq to be a center. I mean look what happened to Shaq now! He's a liability, he misses dunks, he sucks at shooting as well as free throws. Yao is the best center in the league, he can even hit long-range two pointers. And he has the FT % of point guards. And he's a great interior defender. The only reason he's not getting 10+ blocks a game is because of the bull**** calls the referees make.

Has anyone else noticed that whenever anybody says something really and truly stupid around here - the kind of impulsive claim that has absolutely no supporting evidence whatsoever - they always end the sentence with PERIOD? I think they somehow believe that settles it, and there can be no further debate if they say PERIOD. The sentence is clearly ended, after all. What else can be said? It's such an effective technique, I think I'll start using it in all of my sentences. PERIOD.

Well, we all know without Yao we probably wouldn't have this 9-game winning streak. He's been like our main point producer with like 20+ ppg. He is why we are winning. That and Rafer looking for good shots, T-Mac being more of a team player, Bonzi coming alive, Carl coming alive, and Shane actually hitting those corner 3's.

Of course, when there comes advantages there comes disadvantages. Chuck Hayes is kind of lacking now, as well as Luther, Mike James, and Aaron.

Other than that, the team is fine.
