Wang is in big trouble now. An official of Chinese National Team and the head coach of Bayi Rockets has arrived at America to "pursur" Wang.

The solution of Wang's case will influence the NBA career of Ming and all the other Chinese players.

So just let us wait the result.

I thought they said that the Wang Zhi Zhi situation does not have any impact whatsoever on Yao Ming coming to play in the NBA?

This sounds absurd if it is true.

oh, man, this is just what a single reporter said in a BBS chat. Don't put too much on it.

Actually, everything has been going smoothly since Rockets got the draft lottery. But most reporters and newspaper have to live on trouble. They have enough reason to sell rumor. Don't buy it.

$hit, that's what I mean by rumor feed rumor. I won't worry about the speculation of any Chinese reporter at all--they have trouble between identifying themselves as reporters or columnists. Funny, he even used Nickson Mao comparison.

I had deleted those words from Su Qun. Although he is the top basketball reporter in China and he said those words on Sportsweekly Forum publicly, those are only HIS concerns at this moment. We don't need to take them seriously.

In fact, Su Qun is in trouble too because of his support to Wang.

In one sentence you say the reporter said Stern must protect Ming. In the next sentence, the reporter is concerned about Chinese basketball getting set back 20yrs. Think about something: China has as much vested interest in Ming playing in the NBA as Stern.

Stern is quoted as saying that he doesn't really care to get involved. He said that it is up to China to allow Ming to play. Don't count on Stern "protecting Ming," whatever than means.

The NBA, right now, holds the FIBA-sanctioned Player License over Yao Ming. Ming is no longer allowed to play in the CBA without the NBA's OK (FIBA does not allow one player to have two federation licenses at one time); he can only play on National Teams. He must be allowed to play in this league according to the written assurances that the Rockets received and FIBA rules. If not, we can't make China let him play, but FIBA can kick China out of Olympics and World Championships. That is why China must look out for their interest. They gave up Yao's FIBA license, already.

Further, all TV deals and advertising/marketing deals spun off of Ming (which is revenue for not only the NBA, but China, Chinese companies, etc) will be voided.

Well, honestly I could care less about Wang.
Wang can go suck a wang.

He better not ruin Ming's chance to play as a Rocket or as any other club.

For wang's case.l I don't think he is in trouble either.
All trouble came from medias' speculation. They are just "worrying" too much. They talked down to wang everyday. This is good. Now more than 90% fans are supporting Wang.
It is interesting, Chinese news media always can stand right on the oppsite side with people.
Since Wang's case goes to the public, he is safe now, so is Yao Ming.
