exactly. even if yao scored 2-3 pts less, i think his impact will be more.

tmac scored 24.6ppg last yr, but he had just as much if not more impact than a melo or an arenas.

i expect yao to be more of a complete offensive player next yr.

I knew was very good, but I didn't know he was that good. Those are really freakish numbers and field goal percentage. don't think we have to worry about Yao's numbers going down. Basically , If Yao and Tmac are well rested or the system capitalizes on our depth then they will be able to dominate in the fourth quarter when the game matters most . they will score the quality points. And we will be able to save our best for last.

I think alot of posters are missing the point....

The point is not take away Yao from the low post...he is pretty much biggest threat in low post in the league as far as Centers go.

Adelman will not change much of that, he only create few more quick cutters and hitting plays to get more easy baskets for the rest of team. Unlike JVG, Adelman will probably have Yao on few more high post plays, but not all of the time and everything won't revolve totally around him setting up into paint.

Instead, he will probably stay out on the wing or out of the key on certain plays to clear way for the guards and fowards to drive to basket, while he will wait for them drive and they decide pass it of while being covered with smaller defenders Yao will be waiting somewhere nearby for 5ft to 14 ft shot...which still a high percentage for him.

Also, Adelman has much bigger offensive playbook than JVG, so it won't always be necessarily about Yao being in the low post or high post, but more of what position is he in the low post and what side floor he is on. Remember, how some of the plays were set up when Rudy T was coach...i will still be about 70% - 80% low post.
