Rockets took a lot photos of Ming when he was in USA. They just kept the good ones at rockets.com. Here are those "bad" ones. I found them at a Chinese website.
First class on a 12 hour flight is actually kind of nice. I'm sure he'll be up there....although, I remember hearing something about a Rockets' charter flight delivering our center. I'd hate to imagine what it'd be like in coach for 12 hours for me and I'm 6'6", let alone a man who's 89" tall. But when you're the 1st pick in the NBA draft, you tend to get little perks that make it all worth while!
Whats 'Cool' about Mings flight to the USA is that he will arrive about the same time he leaves, the flight is just over 12 hours depending on the type of plane and its 12 hours ahead. So if he leaves on the 21st at 11am, then he arrives around then too on the 21st.
I'm not sure how comparable this is, but when I left from Austin it took me 30 hours to get to Pakistan. A non-stop flight would be quicker, but I doubt only 12 hours. I bet it's closer to 20-24 hours.
it is because of his girlfriend.she wears one to,(w&s explaint it a few weeks ago) i didn't know Red was Yao mings girlfriend
The first class seats are very nice on most airlines. They fully recline and a six footer can lie perfectly flat. Its about as long as a normal size mattress. They feed you tons of food and load you up full of alcohol so don't even notice the flight except for the hangover when you arrive.. On a side note. If you do fly to Asia, take a Asian airline. The flight attendants are young, pretty(only pertinent to heterosexual males and homosexual females on the bbs ) and super friendly(applies to all members) unlike the old hags and farts that man the international flights on American Airlines. I flown all around the world in both coach, business and first class and I can honestly say the flight attendants even in coach class on an Asian Airline is twice as good as any flight attendant on an American airline.
My flight from Houston to Tokyo (nonstop) was about 13 hours. It's another three hours or so to Beijing and Shanghai. So figure 16 hours in the air, 4 hours jacking around in airports and traveling to and from the airports.... And that trip wiped me out. When I got back to Houston, all I wanted to do was sleep, broken by periods of napping.
Mayannn, seeing all those pics makes me more and more anxious to see him in action... 2 and a half weeks....
Some source said he hurt his left leg and limp obviously when he arrived Beijing airport. His teammate helped him with pushing his luggage cart.
