Maybe you American homers should read some history from the non-western, non anti-communist perspective. It is interesting to note that Tibet has been under Chinese rule since the 1700s century (remind me when America was created?), all the way to 1913, when it declared independence shortly after the collapse of the Qing dynasty. I really don't see anything wrong with the so called "oppression" against fringe secession groups led by a disgruntled Dalai Lama, who was kicked out of power after the rise of the Communist Party. Of course, China is not known for its freedom of speech or religion, but the Communist party has abolished slavery from Tibet, unlike the quasi slavery system (cast system with a vast number of untouchable) still found in India, the non-official state sponsor of the Dalai Lama regime. The one child per family policy does not include families of Tibetan decent; they are exempt from all forms of taxation. The government provides for 90% of Tibetan self-autonomous rule's expenditure and has made heavy investments in infrastructure projects that has propelled the Tibetan economy to grow at an average of 12% per year for the last decade.
Yout newspaper are full of fake, especially about china, also television. have you ever seen a modern chinese family from the TV? Everytime you see them broadcasting something about china, they always find a really poor family and shows to represent our country. I didn't know there were mass protests for independence in Hawaii. Anyway YouTube is controlled by users not any media, there were some pro-China videos there along with the Free Tibet ones. That's pretty sad that they censored YouTube.
