While I agree that shouting at the refs would get him some calls because when a player that is a gentleman gets really upset and ejected from a close game, the league is going to start paying attention. YOu have to know how to work the refs.

Refs can't change a call once they blew the whistle, so Yao pleading with them does nothing. However, everyone has a sense of fairness. If you plead with a ref, he'll think he was right. But if you scream out and say that call was terrible and awful and ask them what the hell they were thinking, they will whistle you for a tech. But then your teammates calm you down and tell you (loudly), "Yao, we know they blew the call but we need you in the game, everyone saw it" and ya know what, you'd get a few make-up calls for it and the refs would be more sympathetic after that. It works. We use to do it.

However, Yao's not the type to manipulate people, he's too honest. What he does need to do is not yell for the ball.

For everyone that complains about the Mac haters, look around at all the Yao haters, It's truly sickening! IMO it's never gonna stop.

Comparing Yao and Mcgrady is like comparing apples and oranges. Bashing Yao just because your a Mac lover.

Look at their lives, as children as teens as adults and now as players. One was privileged and was given the opportunity to play in the NBA and one had to earn it.

This tandem has to be broken up. They are from opposite sides of the tracks. There will never truly be harmony in Houston with fans like this.

IMO Tracy and his fans is never be happy unless he's the man, it how he has grown up similar, to the fans that love him.

I respect Yao as a man and a player. I believe most that were born and raised here in Houston feel the same way.

You know, it is possible to be fans of both. I love Yao and T-Mac equally. Sprinkle in some Francis in there as well. (no h :D mo)

I think the reporters should asked something more practical and try to find out the root of the problem. Questions asked so far have been on how Yao felt and about his feelings and thought for the team and the game. Yao can only give his opinions on such questions. If I were the reporters would like to ask Yao what happened to the three crucial shots in which he missed? What happened? Were he fouled or why did he miss them? Questions on what he intend to do the next time if his team mates make unprecedented errors again? He is the leader so he should be asked on his actions to deal with various errors, misses and the opponents game plan to wrestle him. These
is important to simulate Yao thoughts on generating actions for a change instead of opinions on situational circumstances.
