As a Rox fan I can now root for two teams. The USA could use some of Yao's 'tude. If they don't get some then I'm rooting for Big Red. Go Yao. Bring that back to Houston and get your boys motivated. Kick butt, big fella.

If check the box scores, the rest of the Chinese team is terrible.

    Yao: 15 - 20 FG
    Team: 10 - 40 FG

And how does Oceania get two qualifying teams, whereas Asia gets one?

Hey, maybe we should require people to take a spelling test on Lithuanian names before they can post.

Coz they beat the teams in Asia in the qualifying round? In World Cup soccer the Oceania teams do play against some Asian teams for a chance to join the big dance.

New Zealand came 4th in the last World Championship (2002), so they automatically qualifies. Australia was the Oceania champion, thus they also qualifies.

I don't think Korea (2nd best team in Asia), is at the same level as the two Australian teams. Maybe Europe deserves an extra spot since its much more competitve there, but that is also debatable.

And yes, without Yao, the rest of the team would have been torn apart.

    -G'day-

Atleast we know that Yao can get pissed and show up. Does anyone know if a video of the game will come up?

Man, love that anger from Yao. Can't wait for him to bring back to the NBA.

There's already a 4 or 5 page thread on this game in the International Hoops forum.
