I hear what your saying, and your probably right...

It was ridiculous how many times Yao got the ball, but you can't argue with the results...

However, the Celts announcers saw the same thing and were trashin' the Backcourt...

I don't think they'll do anything with Stevie, but maybe CAT...

The only reason I say this is that they won't bring in a true point guard and will bring someone that will fit Rudy's scheme (inside-out)...

Dont be discouraged with all these bashes on you. The way we are playing, we will never get far even when we get into playoff. Its not a question whether all offense should go through Yao. We just need more varieties in our offense. It is always the role of the point guard to look for his teammates first before considering in creating his own shot. We just dont have it in SF. Basically we live or die with his shooting. Whether you are Yao- only, SF-only , or the so called true Rox fan, could you honestly believe Yao would flourish best in this type of guard-oriented defense. It was indeed tough for them to pass it to Yao last night because of the zone defense on Yao. The window of opportunity for the inlet pass to Yao is indeed small, but SF's habit to crossover, dribble, to look for his shot first will only make that window practically nonexistent.

You know who is least concerned with Yao being the focal point of the offense, and instead cares only that the team wins?

    Yao Ming himself.

From growing up in Red China, "collective before self" is deeply ingrained into his psyche.

Madame Liu Yumin, who played basketball with Yao's mother, Fang Feng Di, and counts her among her closest friends, explains through a translator that a true communist always puts the team first and the individual second. That is why there are few records of the individual accomplishments of the great Chinese players of the past.

Keeps this in mind next time you see Yao showing his total support for his teammates. This is readily apparent when he gives them "five" at every, and I mean EVERY, opportunity after shooting free throws. He goes to give the free throw shooter some love BEFORE the shot gets to the rim, before it is known whether the shot went in or missed, showing that he's on their side whether they make the shot or not. He's saying, "Through good or bad, we're in this together, my neezy."

Do you honestly think we could win the title being a guard-oriented team?
