This maybe true with the 610 callers, but not overall. I am black and feel Ming will do OK.

You have to understand a lot of people believe that you have to have some physical play in your game in order to be a good inside player in this game. Right now Ming hasn't shown that he has and inside game.

He hasn't show any outside game either, in any US court!! Then can you draw your conclusion that he is a bust, in and out??

For his games outside of the US, yes he shows both inside and outside excellency already.

    WindandSea,

The first time they practice together and Steve sees how good Ming is, they will be best of friends.

The Rockets will start winning and everyone will be united.

It's good to see people have finally come to their senses about the whole situation... well except nwo and his immature comments...OldManRock, Relativist, alaskansnowman, you all said it best
Things will work out for the best once Francis gets to know and play with Ming. He just wants to win so hope for the best.
Wonder what will happen though if Ming truly ends up a bust? Got to look at both ends of the spectrum, anything is possible...

" finalsbound, keep your opinions about me to yourself...I have an opinion and I will state it...and isn't this thread about Steve F. and Yao Ming NOT GETTING ALONG...and I'm pro-Ming, so that means I'm ANTI-Francis....so I can post as many "DON'T WANT" Francis posts as I like....so YOU CHILL OUT!! "

Settle down little boy...and let me guess, your response will be, "NO YOU SETTLE DOWN, I DONT CARE, I HATE FRANCIS, WAH WAH WAH"

Actually it will. Ming will be much better than Steve thinks (he's afraid he will be a bust or a 2-3 year project). The Rockets should be +.500 team and fighting for a playoff position. We'll all look back at this speculation and laugh - I hope.

Now, Imagine if Borchardt was Chinese. Would his name even be called top 10? NO. Top 20? Doubtful.

I doubt/hope that all the Ming doubters (most of whom have never even seen him play) are racist in terms of thinking another player would be better cause he's black. I think it's more of an issue that they feel an American player would be better. That's still unfortunately an another form of predjudice.

    WINDANDSEA:

you're right that Steve is not going to be to Ming what this guy Bin was, but I would still have Steve on our team than Bin. Man, is this guy a dork... but I digress.

Bottomline is this: Steve is a brother, plus he is young and spoiled... Don't expect him to be courteous and all wishi-washi and Ming. However, Steve wants to win, and he's a workaholic. If Ming brings the goods to the table, Steve will get with the program. Don't expect Steve to be a mentor, and yes, he may tease the Yao from time to time. If Yao is not OK with that maybe he's better suited for the Comets than for the NBA. Many of the NBA's great have been known to be extremely tough on their teamates, including Jordan. But the toughest one was Barkley, who Ming says is one of his idols. The Chuckster would eat his teamates alive if they didn't deliver. That's how NBA is.

I believe Steve is a good and open kid. If he sees that Yao is working hard and is improving the team he won't make Yao's life miserable.
