Yao Ming actually gets critisized by a lot more by the Chinese fans

How can you make an informed opinion through someone else's commentary?

 

I am not a "Yao can do no wrong" type. But if you really watch the games, you could see who is more wrong than the other. If you don't watch the games, how can you know and comment what happen? And yes IMO most of time it's not Yao's fault and I watch most of the games.

 

I watched the game against lakers..... but it seems to me that Ming is just jacking up shots against Shaq..... though on defense, he did a very good job I must say..... but on offense, he looks more like he wants to shoots in that game.....

 

I think there is a difference between US Rockets fans and Chinese fans towards Yao's recent poor play. The Chinese fans are Ming only fan. They want him to be national hero. They bashed him hard because they loved him too much. If they are not interested in him, why do they bother to criticize him? A Rockets fan is not a Ming only fan. They want Rockets to win a champion. They know Rockets can't win a champion without a dominant center. Yao has shown sparks that he could some day help Rockets to the throne. Every great player had off days and no exception for Ming. Sure there are Rockets fans who are Yao bashers. But most fans realized bashing didn't help. Yao's BB IQ is better than mine. I don't know what to teach him. I am sure we will see his great games in near future, and many more are coming because he is so young!

Sina is not that crap. Some of the things they talked are pretty hilarious e.g. they complained about Yao buying a Japanese car. According to them, Yao visits there regularly. And contrary to popular belief, Chinese fans rarely bashed Francis/Mobley for not getting Yao the ball. They are more critical of Yao because they've watched him since his CBA days me think.
