Yao leads all players in Athens with 20.4 points per game

    yeah, at least he can knock down some open 3s and that'll help Yao's game BIG time.

    After watching this game, I feel that Yao needs one good shooter, one good slasher to be extremely effective. Of course a PF who can score and rebound a little would help too. China won yesterday because finally they had one guy who could sank 3 pointers (LiNan) and one guy who could slash to the hoop and draw fouls (DuFeng). Also the PF (MoKe) also got into some positions where he could get pass from Yao and score.

    Now Rockets surely have a better shooter and slasher in McGrady/JJ than China could ever hope for; a better scoring PF in J.Howard. I think Rockets can do really well next year!:D

    don't mean to be harsh on Yao's teammates, but damn if Yao wasn't scoring at 20 points a game, the CNT would be lucky to crack 30 points a game

    those who think he is a Rik Smits copy........would Rik SMits lead his team to the medal round and also lead the tournements ppg and rebound?

    Actually Yao is avg. 2nd most rebs. with 9.4 per game and Tim Duncan leads all with 11.0 rebs/game.
