i agree with you, its too abviouse that the ball is only going to yao, and other team is not that stupid to realize it.

Seriously, we need to stop telegraphing our 4th quarter offensive scheme...
It's like clockwork...pass to Yao on the left block...

Everything in moderation.....variety is the spice of life....call an audible!

Please integrate the read the react every once in awhile...

I mean it's not like Yao is automatic down there....

    This is really frustrating!!arghhh!!

like it or hate it. rockets management has left us with this team. no other scoring option that can be counted on. yao is all we have and the other teams know it. granted the others may step up from time to time but in most situations teams know if you focus defense on yao the others will miss shots. and in times where miracles happen, brooks scoring 30 vs suns, we come out looking good. but 80 % of time solely defending yao will result in victory for other team

    playoff strategy for sure

is it possible to just shut this topic down, is is the dumbest post EVER!

if you got something to complain about and want to be a negative fan, go to the pheonix suns forums, THEY HAVE A REASON TO COMPLAIN as i said before in another post.

This is where I have been backing up TMAC. I am sorry but we aren't going to the Championship or get even close. We'll be lucky to even make it out of the first round this season. I think TMac's sentiments are the same right now. Is it Yao... maybe.. but I do remember him getting good baskets when we had a healthy Mac and a Coach who knew how to use a big man... with the name of JVG. His offence may have depended too highly on the two man show but then again we weren't exactly over flowing with options either. Is JVG the best option maybe not but I am at the point where I still believe he is a much better fit than Adleman. This is where most of RA's teams have fallen off the map except for that one chance Sacramento had which was ruined by an even better coach Phil Jackson. I am done with the Rick Adleman experiment. Crazy as it sounds I'd be willing to get Avery Johnson as the coach of this team. He's knows how to use a big man and what kind of role players are needed.

wow, one game and guys start bashing yao. if it wasn't for yao, we wouldn't even be in this great position to take the number 2 seed from the spurs

You are out of your mind to blame the coach. Blame the player that still has trouble against a fronting defense and a hard double team after 7 years in the NBA. Blame the player that shoots 80% from the FT line but can't operate in the high post. You want more shots, shoot the 15 ft set shot 5 times a game. You should be able to make 3 of those. How about you get some rebounds to while you are at it? Seems like in close games you always miss or drop the ball. Step your game up! Adleman tried to open his game up, but he failed so he gives him the ball in the ONLY place he can do catch it. So don't blame the coach for his shortcoming. Any other coach to come in here would find out the same things. He is only comfortable playing on the block. Where the defense knows where he will be and where it is very easy to double team him. At least adelman is asking morey to go out and get other players that can do their own thing and not have to wait on Yao to make a good pass out of the double team.

From what I saw in the game vs. the lakers, Yao in the 4th qtr was never really in position near the basket. I'm still not sure why does he still have a problem when a defensive player is fronting him. I don't think he is getting the right coaching from Adelman. Furthermore, our point guards are very young and inexperienced its not that simple to throw the ball in to the middle and have proper spacing.

If you recall, prior to the rockets winning the championship, Kenny smith used to have the same issue getting the ball to Hakeem, Rudy T fixed that in the playoffs.

The point is Adelman's game plan is dictated by the intelligence and basketball fortitude that his stars have. Artest has been playing great ball, but he fell in love with the 3 point shot. Its up to the coach to instruct the players on how he wants game plan implemented, depending on how the game is progressing.

Bottom line the failure to win against the Lakers is not all on Yao.

I disagree! Its up to the coach to design plays to facilitate Yao to get the ball in deep. I thought Adelman was supposed to be this great offensive genius.

Should just let it die cause once Yao supposedly messes up again, you know you'll be seeing this thread come up because it will still on top of all the topics.

Quit complaining? We've been 12-3 in our last 15 games. Enjoy the ride.
