Yao is unclutch because of the high post plays they run for him at the end of games:

1)Fatigue. By the time he backs down his opponent, the double team comes and he has to repost.

2)Low percentage shot: The only shot he can get from the high post are usually long fadeaways.

3)Turnovers: High post is where Yao turns the ball over the most.

It also causes the offense to get stagnant and predictable.

All the **** are jizzing themselves from what happened last night. They love to bash the BEST PLAYER on the team even though he got another 20/10 game because that he got EXHAUSTED on a 2nd night of a back to back in double overtime. I wonder when the next time that T-SHE is going to have a 20/10 game? **** should all be banned. My little girl has more BBall IQ than these blind delusional fans.

It's obvious fatigue plays a large part in Yao's ability to hit shots in the fourth.

Wow, that's a new one. How very creative.

Yao is easily the most clutch player on this team, You can't expect from him every single night to do something amazing in the clutch.

Even Kobe, Pierce, LeBron and Wade choke at times.

    High post?
Did you watch the game? Yao never go to high post and shoot that "fadeaway".

final play of the game. who do you trust with the ball the most?

    Yao?

    T-Mac?

    Artest?

i lose all faith in Yao in the 4th quarter. I trust T-Mac to create for someone else but not make a shot. Artest is the answer.

    Good question.
I'll give it to Yao...then Artest...then Rafer so we can at least put all the blame on some one and make Clutch look bad.

I totally agree with you, sir. But the big guy also needs some rest in order to get his best.

Yao is unclutch, I don't care what anyone says. We need a wing player for that situation, sort of like Artest. You can't rely on Yao, who gets tired in 5 seconds to make clutch shots.

Excellent thread. I may not always want Yao to take the last shot of the game, but Yao's efficient production in the last 8 minutes of the game has undeniably put us in winning position many times this season.

And "clutch" isn't equal to "last-shot maker," for those who are confused. Ideally we'd have a healthy McGrady either creating his own shot or finding the open teammate.

thank you sir. i wish sometimes we had an ignore option. to filter some of the stuff on the board. cuz sometimes there is a great deal of idiotic post with no value bashing players, random cursing, and overreaction. i would prefer to read articulate thread such as this. I don't care if people criticize, but please for the sake of this bbs keep it rational and somewhat scholarly to read.

on another note: i do agree yao wouldn't be the guy I would want to have the ball in the last 10 sec. but he is super efficient in the 4th. I just don't trust the double team and potential turnover if yao held the ball that long. But wouldn't mind if he shot the ball within the final seconds.

I'm just uber happy ron has somewhat found an awesome role for himself. Hopefully this won't be the exception, but rather the norm. I think ron has realize it is better to let yao and tracy do their thing 1-3q while he focuses on d, hustle and scores when he can. And then take over in the 4th.

1 more thing. it is incredible the pieces we have on this team. it's remarkable the different lineup we could supply for arsenal. Coach A shouldn't be afraid to bench stars and utilize different line ups to confuse the opponents (especially the f***** ass jazz! jazz hate is allowed on this board). Cuz this squad looks like it could run and gun with brooks and half-court with yao.
    And other option ready available.

I mean we have Luis freaking Scola. Carl im to amp up Landry. Arron to fast eff speedy Gonzalez Brooks. Shane mr. D Bat. Brent bones 3 range main barry. Chuck public enemy num 1 willy mayes Hayes. and luther i'm a shooter like them cowboys head. Thats a pretty awesome supporting cast. Without mentioning ron t-mac, yao. oh and i forgot rafer. oops. but rafer is good too.

thank you again for the awesome thread sir.

"I should have been attacking all night instead of waiting for double overtime," Artest said. "Better late than never."

Love this attitude from Artest... he seems to have really matured, and is now almost a veteran leader of this team.

why dump all the ball to yao even when he is obviously tired.

because the clutchnesses in Rockets are few or the other clutchness cant count . today ,we find our the other clutchness----Ron .

    your reply fails .

Very good stats. Yao has a big heart, he always runs no matter what. However, sometimes when he puts a lot minutes in the game, he runs out his efficiency. That is why, like last night, he missed some shots.

I hope there was a stat that shows the relationship between his clutch points & play minutes.

You didn't mention Tmac, but your previous post still failed miserably.
