Yao can't even destroy the Ostertags, Jerome James and Eric Dampiers of the world.

Let's start with doing that first and worry about facing really good players later.

Why bash our players when you should be supporting them? Are you a fan or just a loner with too much hatred inside? :D

The Spurs are overrated. Without Duncan they would be horrible, maybe worse than Orlando... I shoulda bet Codell, maybe no. :D

LOL, I have to laugh on this. I think it is because Yao really is slow in jumping!!!

    It is like this:

Yao sees a ball, he wants to jump to get it, but the speed of the falling ball is faster than his reaction time, so from the time he sees the ball to the time he decides to jump, the ball already falls on his head!!!

AK is quite a leaper with good timing who can come from behind to swat Yao's ball away when Yao is preoccupied with another big man in his face. I agree it is very impressive. But I don't know it you can call it 'stopping Yao'.

AK47 may be a really good player, but he is too short to guard Yao. If he could guard Yao, then Sloan would have put him on Yao.

Its alot easier to come and block someone from the weakside. Everyone is capable of getting a block trying to double someone. I dont think AK could block Yao playing straight-up one another.

Draft picks are in part gambles unless there is an absolute monster talent in the draft such as Shaq, Duncan, and Lebron. Even Krause took a gamble by taking Brand when a lot of folks were thinking Francis was the #1 pick. Then you've got Candyman, Kwame Brown, and Kenyon Martin. Kenyon Martin looks like a really good player, but is he going to dominate like a Duncan? Yao was hyped, but I never thought he would be able to match Duncan's game. If you look at the previous draft picks aside from the slamdunk #1s, Yao comes out pretty well considering he is not fluent in English yet, and he's still adjusting to the NBA game which is very different from the competition he was facing before.

I dare you to go back through film and find FIVE instances of Hakeem having a shot blocked in his first ten years in the league.

    And Dream was 6' 10.

When did Joe Kleine ever block a shot by Hakeem?

Mark Eaton did a couple of times but then Hakeem developed a face up game and Eaton was history.

Lots of people blocked Hakeem. When you are in the low post, take lots of shots, and get doubled, you will get blocked. I am sure Ostertag got Hakeem a few times. Same with Jordan and anyone else.
