They can't do that....the fracture itself has healed, that's not really the concern....it's his body getting used to the new arch in his foot and the arch itself needs to also adapt. You can't throw too much at it too soon or he'll probably just mess it up again.

I bet if we win the next game, somebody will say that.

Glad it's not something serious... I guess we'll have to find a way to win without him. Lucky for us, the schedule isn't that tough coming up. We still have to get a center somehow, or we'll continue to get out rebounded.

i dont care if yao or tmac are polar opposites in how they conduct themselves off court... both were/are in and out of line-ups... both are trash for our basketball club. rockets/fans need to stop giving yao a free pass, he's not helping this team on the court and hasnt helped for a long time

Thank you for reminding me of this. When you have your foot reconstructed things are going to take some time getting back to normal.

By the time Yao suits up in uniform, AB will be back as well??? That's actually good news for us.. I think this team will turn around and start to gather some wins for once...

A minimum? Ugh, I thought for sure AB's ankle was broken and he'll be back sooner than we think. And He had to be helped off the court. Yao's big ass foot didn't even look like it turned to me and he walked off like nothing happened and is out at least a week? #@%@#^T@#^T#@$@$#^T

Rox needs Yao to make money for the owner for a longer period! Isn't that simple?

Not interested in that in the slightest, and it means they are not really interested in going for a championship.....

Didn't he have his foot stepped on at the same time, causing the ankle to bend awkwardly?

Has to be that, and probably something he would play with if that foot was not the bionic one.

They are probably being uber careful, and you can't blame them, but this sounds not very serious at all.

I agree with you that it's not very serious. But he was reportedly still limping last night. I don't think it's just being uber careful. I think he legitimately hurt his ankle, and will be out about as long as anyone else would with the same injury.

A lot of guys would play through a slight strain, I don't think Yao would, or should, just saying it seemed pretty minor.

Sadly, when Scola has his eyeball ripped out his still plays the next game but when Yao goes down with a twisted ankle...REHAB stint.

Let's hope his one-week minimum time out turns into ten years minimum, and twenty years maximum. Then we can pencil him in for the 2021 All-Star Game.

it might be too late by then. With Golden State emerging as a playoff team there just isnt any room for us to squeeze into the playoffs.

nah, he wasnt stepped on, his foot just got driven down because Mcgee's thigh smacked into Yao's leg.

    DD,
sprains can be tricky....sometimes it hurts a good deal from the stretch the ankle took, but it progresses quickly....i think he should be able to play in a week, but it may get stretched out to a week and a half, maybe 2 just to let it heal 100%.
