Like I said Rockets need to take the kids glove off.

Any other player would of went to the locker proclaimed mild sprain and went on there merry way.

Instead Rockets make every single injury severe. Rocket fans continue to think he is capable of playing 82 games without injury........

He can have injuries, just not a stress fracture on his left foot. Every player misses a game or 2 or more. In this case, we know we suck even more without him, so it kills us when our only semi 2 way player is injured because the rest of roster is made of D-League players besides Scola/KM who's defense sucks.

If this was the Lakers and they lost Kobe for a Month, they have other legit players to carry the load......we got bench players.

Shane would be a backup SF for other teams
    Hayes would see 10 minutes
    Ish or Lowry wouldn't start
CBUD wouldn't start, IMHO out of all the starting SF, he is defense is horrible. But on out team he is an upgrade over Shane. Lol
KM doesn't know what winning means as the highest scorer on the team
Hill couldn't even get playing time with the Knicks
    Miller is washed up

Add that on top of relying on a 1 legged tissue box who may get injured....sure adds doom and gloom.

I hope Yao learns to never take charges and never go for loose balls on the ground, even if it's a tie game with 10 seconds to go.

i don't think it matters if we bring him off the bench or not. he plays bench minutes right now anyways. i think some players are just injury-prone and unfortunately, yao is one of them.

You're saying this after a ankle sprain???

I'm pretty sure every player (in any sport) sprains their ankle like once or twice a year...it's just a bigger deal when Yao does it.

i think right now b/c he's so injury prone, JUST PLAY HIM. play him like you would play him normally. if he is medically cleared and there is no medical reason for him to play a certain amount of minutes, just play him. if he's injured, he'll get injured. but we can't control him thinking that we can help him avoid injuries b/c WE CAN'T. he WILL get injured again.

Watching that video made me believe we still have a chance to turn our season around, before and after Yao returns. Imagine what would have happened if Brooks passed it out to Scola at his favorite spot for the last shot instead of going up for it himself...

they need to go back to the drawing board with his weight distribution....i've always though it was ridiculous to have a guy with legs like tree trunks and an upper body like a twig...you'll rarely, if ever, see another 7'0 + nba player built that way. Not Mark Eaton, not shaq, not deke, not even muresan and Bradley. That imbalance (another imbalance, big surprise) is screwing up all of his stances. His legs can take hits, so he tries to keep them still, but his upper body cant take them, so he braces himself by sticking his chest out, which puts his aligment at a disadvantage to anchor himself down, resulting in falls.

They wanted him to be somewhere in between Shaq and Eaton body wise, but he's really in between Deke and Eaton. He's never going to be a power player. Shift some of that lower body weight upstairs to strengthen his upper body, yet still keep him at the same overall weight. Your core muscles are mainly between the thigh and shoulders, and half of that is lacking for Yao..

It won't be his last injury as a Rocket.

    I am worried, why?

I have a feeling we start winning without him and once he comes back we WILL HAVE A PROBLEM.

I dont give a Fu@* if its a hang nail......its always something. Its really time to get ready for life without Yao. Not that he wont be on the court but that he will no longer be the franchise player he has been tagged with. He will be a great compliment to a pure superstar and thats what i think Morey already knows......it is written.

Actually, I don't think Yao is an injury prone. If he was injured more often before, such as being out of a couple of weeks more often, his foot wouldn't be stress fracture. His season ending injuries were because he kept playing too long and his big body couldn't hold. That is just over his limit.

The guy is way too slow to be effective at this point. He's running at about 1/4 of the speed of the 06-07 Yao prior to injury. Has Yao had shock therapy ala his rookie season to get the blood flow circulation optimized as well as fast twitch muscles to fire more rapidly?

    Great news.
It's still early, not like the team doesn't have time to turn things around, when AB and Yao get back.
Yao's out a week, I'm sure the team will start being awesome now.
