They are the best that the NBA has to offer, but gimme a break. Tim Duncan makes his living off the free throw line, even though his FT shooting is bad this year. The point is, they both don't shoot a good percentage and you can always average 20ppg if you shoot almost 20 shots a game and get preferential treatment from the refs. Look at Allen Iverson or T-Mac.

There are some truth to your statement, but no one would give you any calls unless you "earn" it. They did earn it before recieving the "favorite" calls.

The key is that he only took 21 shots to get 41, which is close to 2 points out of each shot (sure there is FTs). This is just an amazing stat.

I do imagine in some games that Yao will attempt 30 shots. I can easily imagine that he will have some games that he tops 50 down the road. Actually it can happen at any game from now on.

One thing that I noticed about Yao recently is that he has been able to get deeper and better position quickly in the post. His breakout this season occurred when he mixed his low post games with high post shots. However, in the last several weeks it seems that he is taking less and less outside shots and still gets the job done. I have feeling that it won't take more than two seasons before he becomes the most unstoppable force in the league.

Realistically who can stop a player with that kind of shooting touch, especially after he figures out the tricks in the low post?

For one day on this board we should ban negative talk and just be thankful we were able to draft the best center since shaq.

I reran the game again, the amateurs guarding Yao were hitting him just about ten times on every shot. All 3 centers guarding Yao should have fouled out 5 minutes into the first quarter.

In the third OT when Yao was called for traveling, the two guys were smacking Yao left and right and up and down. I guess the refs only want to look at Yao's feet, What's up with that????? Maybe Van Gundy should sent that play to David Stern.
