Do you know how many people live in China?

...do you know how many of those people in China support the Rockets?

If they support the Rockets then they should understand what's best for the organization and have no hard feelings if something were to occur and remain loyal fans to the team.

I'm sure by now there are a large portion of fans who would still support the Rockets even if he was to leave.

Honestly it wouldn't matter if Yao acted exactly like Tracy did.

All that other stuff......hard work, nice guy, etc. is all well and good but Yao isn't a Rocket because hes a nice guy.

Yao Ming in on this roster, and will remain on this roster, because he makes Les Alexander alot of money.

Rule number 1 of business.........don't EVER mess w/ the money.

and for those that don't know, Yao ming is the Rockets money.

    Why can't people understand this?

    ;)

I would actually give more credit to Artest, then to anyone else...

Neither Yao or T-Mac were able to do anything.. It was El Craz-o who pushed them over the edge.

Agree Artest might of brought the offense to a halt at times but he somehow fit perfectly with us.

Well, Yao could be traded because, well anything could happen.

Like, who knows, the Saints might decide to break their lease and move their team to Beaumont next year.

Those are great numbers..........but even he only averaged 10 pts and 5 rbs he'd still be on this roster.

The NBA is a business first and a sports league second.

Disagree. Yao is marketable b/c he's so productive. There's a reason Wang Zhizhi never achieved comparable fame.

I hate to think how we'll recover after Yao. I'm no YOF but his window is closing and so is our chances of a ring with his presence. Hell, he could retire whenever he wants, could be after next season, could be 2 yrs from now. In what position would we be, when there's no lebrons, melos, and even durant unavailable. The future isn't looking too bright, unless somewhere down the road we can land a superstar, or, tank and end up with a duncan.

or he decides to leave the rockets.. its very possible guys..
I know yao is very loyal but he is also a competitor.. If the rockets do this Knicks trade we are looking in the future with draft picks and a guy with potential in Hill. That doesnt quite fit the win now mode we had with Yao so he might just bolt the Rockets when he's a free agent.

He won't be a cash cow if he can't play anymore or if he breaks down again.

U kidding me? Just because Artest was here at the right place and right time doesn't mean HE was the reason why we made it out of the first round. You replace him with a healthy McGrady on that same squad, and there's no way they would have lost to the Blazers.

True. He was very productive and that established.

But how does that refute anything I've said?

Yao obviously had to play well for his market to be established........now that it is...it really doesn't matter if he ever plays at that level again.

Now all he, and Les, have to do is sit back and let the money roll on in.

Every single one of your post had been some sort of bias against Yao. If Yao decides to leave this team or if the rockets decide he's not a perfect fit then he'll be gone on GOOD TERMS. It will not be like a t-mac situation where rockets does not like him and vice versa. Yao stated in his own words that he does not fit the current offense and if a trade happens, then he understands its business and he'll have no problems accepting it. With that being said other contenders will definitely be interested in his service. With his health issue, he does not have to be a 1st or a 2nd option on another team for him to win a title elsewhere. If Yao leaves then his audience from China will follow where ever he goes. Of course there will be people that will continue to watch the rockets, but not as much if yao leaves. If you want Yao to leave that badly then no problem he is perfectly fine with that either way.
