Odd...I thought both Tracy and Yao tried hard.

I guess only one can ever really try hard.

Really? so maybe TMAC tried too hard to give up when 5 seconds left before half? That's really HARD.

man, i dont like tracy's performance as the next guy. but if he plays well, don't compliment him please.

and yao says those things to the damn chinese reporters, and those guys are really close w/ yao so they could get those things. why do u think those things don't go out to the american media outlets. yao wouldn't disclose his true feelings there.

tmac IS disappointed with his play i guarantee u that. but only prollie his wife and close family members know about that. he cant' let disappointment show to the public or else utah will take advantage.

    my goodness.

did wade say he's disappointed in his play? did shaq? did dirk? obviously not the media, but they are.

these reporters are like yao's brothers and cover yao day and night. so they're gonna get his true feelings.

agreed. people need to quit looking at his quotes and base what they think of him on his play. With that said, they have every right to call him out for his recent Play. Its r****ded to focus on his quotes..but some people on this board keep pulling them out.. quit comparing yao quotes to t-mac quotes...two completley different cultures.

YAO should. he didnt setup his position deep enough to free the space. he should dunk the ball but only attempt useless layup. he is too slow in the game.

TMAC, well, another story, I rather have B.Davis on the team, not him

tmac is ALWAYS criticized game by game. the only guy who gets a pass is yao basically b/c he's been w/ this organization his whole career. even fran blinebury admitted he hesitates to criticize yao before tmac b/c yao was drafted by the rockets.

so let it be. tmac doesn't read these dumb comments. we'll see what tmac is gonna do in game 5. i just hope if he comes out w/ a good game, these fools just don't ever post again and claims he's god. then the next time he sucks they claim he's trash and should be traded.

if he plays like he has no balls he should be called out for that.

if he ever plays well he'll be complimented for that.

so is heart a game-by-game thing? i think it's something you always have. either u have it or u don't.

if u criticize tmac's bad game, don't bring up the heart and all that. maybe he just has a bad game and struggles w/ the physicality of the jazz. maybe his role players lack of making shots puts more defensive pressure on him. dont u think that's the case?

but no, it's ALWAYS lack of heart.

    What are you talking about?

The posts here always reflect the present, and the present Tmac SUCKS. There is nothing wrong with that.

He deserves the criticism he is getting right now. Noone is saying what he did before doesn't count, but TMac said all those crap about "It's on me" yet he's not stepping it up.

Well, enough of your stupid wallowing and self-pity, Yao. Toughen the f*** up and start playing like a max player. You want to be THE franchise player? Start acting/thinking like one.

I love that guy to death but I always compare his mental makeup to Dirk's. They're both mentally fragile and when pushed hard they tend to crack. Both are amazingly efficient and have unmatched work ethic, yet both act like they're role players and shy away from the leadership role.

Here's a quick note to Yao and McGrady: you better win this series or else!

ok, then. just don't bring up "heart." can u feel his heart?

criticize his game. like i said, heart is something u don't or don't have. so don't just say he has no heart after a loss.

and then saying he does if he plays pretty good and we win.

Yao will always be limited by his lack of mobility, questionable stamina, and poor quick-reflex reaciton time which makes him prone to picking up bad fouls.

But, the one thing he can control is his lack of aggressiveness. Okur has NO BUISNESS guarding Yao one-on-one, but they're getting away with it. If Yao draws a consistent double-team, it actually opens up a lot more for him (and the rest of the team) than just him looking ok.

Utah can live with Yao scoring 25-28 (especially if half of those are on FT's). They CANNOT live with Yao ripping them a new one with 35+, and scoring every single time they decide to single-team him.

Yao needs to get nasty... no other way to explain it, but he needs to play like he knows he's better than Okur... rather than just doing whatever the defense seems to give him.

Yao tries his hardest but he lets the refs and Jazz push him around.
He needs to stand up for himself, he shouldnt care about getting a
technical foul or being fined. this is the playoffs and you need to stand
up for yourself. hes getting shafted on every other posession and needs
to be a man and yell out "hey im getting fouled can you not ****ing see that?"

Get the technical fight back and play like the most dominant big man in the game.
